Parents are getting increasingly creative with how they share images of their children online. But does covering or blurring our children's faces in images posted to social media achieve what we think it does?

To gain readers’ attention and trust it is evidently not enough to create a top 10 tools list by searching on Google and then picking the best items from existing lists, or to pull together a few interesting article titles on a topic with their introductory paragraphs. Unless your readers are not very interested themselves into the topic you cover, why would they take recommendations from someone who has not even had the time to fully vet and verify his own suggested resources?
Picking what superficially appears to be interesting content just by reading titles or curating and suggesting content to your readers by leveraging tools that do this automatically is like recommending movies or music records based on how much you like their trailers or their cover layouts.
By using this approach how many times are you going to recommend truly valuable resources versus how many times is your recommendation going to lower your credibility and authority just because the content you have recommended is actually quite shallow, provides no new insight, or it is even copied from somewhere else?

Google makes the Chrome browser and Google makes Gmail. Naturally, the Chrome Web Store has some excellent extensions to improve your Gmail experience. But it also has several that you don’t need. Let’s sift the gems from the mud.
Note: The extensions in this list work only with Gmail. If you prefer the time-saving Inbox by Gmail, there are separate extensions for that.
Inbox by Gmail is Google's most recent approach to email organization and management. It can give you a simpler email workflow. Find out if Inbox by Gmail can be the better choice for you.
ActiveInbox: Send Mails Later and Manage Email Tasks
If you’re a Gmail power user, this is the best extension you can install. But be warned, ActiveInbox is free for a one month trial, after which it costs $50 per year....

"Over the past two years, generative AI has dominated tech conversations and media headlines. Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, and Sora captured imaginations with their ability to create text, images, and videos, sparking both excitement and ethical debates. However, artificial intelligence goes far beyond generative AI—which is just a subset of AI—and its associated models."

As a New York Times article on the paper reported: “doctors were treating [the AI] like a search engine for directed questions: ‘Is cirrhosis a risk factor for cancer? What are possible diagnoses for eye pain?’ It was only a fraction of the doctors who realized they could literally copy-paste in the entire case history into the chatbot and just ask it to give a comprehensive answer to the entire question.” This is not just an issue for doctors. In every classroom I teach in or organization I speak with, the vast majority of people have tried AI, but are often struggling with how to initially use it. And, as a result of that struggle, have not put in the 10 or so hours with AI that are required to really understand what it does.

The aim of this book is to enable you to use AI prompts to rapidly generate course materials that are specifically designed for your students. This is done through a collection of prompt templates that help you to create the different types of materials that are commonly produced by materials writers and designers when producing lessons and courses. By working through the lessons in the book, you should be able to develop your knowledge of AI prompting to a level where you are able to rapidly produce core content and edit and fine tune it for your students.

The internet is overloaded with content. Even if you only set out to read the most important articles and watch the top videos, you'll never get done.
Just staying up-to-date and informed is a challenge. You have news to read, blogs to check, and YouTube hits you've got to watch. But instead of opening each site a half-dozen times a day, you can use an RSS app to curate your content automatically.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's a file that most websites update with their newest blog posts, videos, deals and more, so you can "subscribe" to sites and have new content automatically pushed to you. Instead of checking the 40 websites you follow, you can just open an RSS reader app and see what's new on all of those sites together.
In the years since Google Reader died, a wide range of RSS feed reader apps have come and gone. Today, there are still a number of great RSS tools that are actively being improved, apps you can use to follow your favorite sites—from powerful crowd favorites like Feedly to simple Chrome extensions like Feeder. Whether you want a simple app for consuming news on the go, or a powerful tool that archives the best content from hundreds of sites, there's an app here for you.

It was recently announced that Instagram has doubled its monthly active user base since 2014, which means a lot more people are viewing and sharing photos. Plus, visual content is 40X more likely to get shared on social media than other types. In other words, people like to be shown, not told -- and in turn, they share. For that reason, it's important for marketers to know how to create compelling visuals for their business' social networks and blogs. And while it can be worth putting the investment of time and money into photo editing software on your computer, many of us are exclusively using our phones to take pictures and could stand to edit them without uploading them to a desktop. That's especially true when you're posting in real time, like at an event. Luckily, there are tons of great photo and video editing apps out there for mobile devices -- some of them even cost a few bucks. But which are the best, free or paid? Check out our shortlist below....

Four years ago, FiftyThree—the team of ex-Microsoft creatives who launched a wildly popular iPad sketching app called Paper—was flush with venture capital and full of expansion ideas that they put into action. They started producing hardware: an iPad stylus called (unluckily) Pencil. They expanded the app to work on iPhones as a Post-it-esque idea jotter. They experimented with in-app purchases and a patronage model. They even soft-launched a whole new app called Paste, which lets Slack users pass visual materials back and forth with ease. But all this activity had a somewhat flailing feel: What was Fiftythree’s core business? Was it about productivity software, or creative apps? Now, with a relaunch of both Paper and Paste, the company seems to have its story straight again. And that story is . . . they’re about productivity and creativity. And making great slide decks....

Forgive me if you think these are badly-framed questions. Asking whether ChatGPT enhances learning is no different from asking whether technology more generally will enhance learning (a question that is fundamentally unanswerable), something that I had hoped we had moved on from some time ago. But please bear with me. Such questions matter (not because…
