En esta encuesta participó 1.5 millones (30%) de respuestas de estudiantes y cerca de 170 mil de profesores (35%). Según el autor, esta es la muestra más grande del mundo sobre el uso de la IA Generativa en la educación superior. Entre los principales hallazgos se destacan los siguientes:
- 9/10 estudiantes y maestros la ha aplicado en al menos una ocasión, por lo que no hay una brecha de uso significativa entre ambos sectores.
- Un 71.3% de estudiantes y 71.8% de docentes señalan que no conocen ninguna normativa institucional de su universidad sobre el uso de la IA.
- 10% de alumnos y 9% de profesores la emplean para apoyo emocional. De ellos, 50% consideraron que les ayudó mucho conversar con un algoritmo sobre sus problemas.
- La mayoría de los docentes utiliza la IA como una herramienta de transmisión de contenido.
- ambiar el modelo tradicional de impartir cátedras por nuevas prácticas docentes que fomenten el debate, el pensamiento complejo y la reflexión crítica.
- Un 30% de estudiantes de nuevo ingreso abandona las aulas en su primer año, lo que representa una tragedia social, financiera y humana.
