Dans les pratiques sociales de référence (PSR) actuelles se retrouvent notamment l'idée d'un changement urgent de nos modes de vie comprenant également nos usages du numérique et, de manière plus large, l'éducation citoyenne à la durabilité par des notions de sobriété et de transition numérique. Ainsi, pour accompagner le secteur scolaire dans ce processus d'intégration plus durable du numérique, nous avons élaboré une typologie des prudences numériques. Cette typologie est une proposition pour contribuer à une compréhension approfondie et nuancée du numérique pour l'éducation. Elle vise à accompagner les pratiques pédagogiques en intégrant de manière concrète les approches prudentielle, systémique et sociocritique du numérique pour l'éducation dans la formation initiale et universitaire des enseignants et enseignantes. Avec mes collègues chercheurs Laurent Heiser et Audrey Raynault, nous avons élaboré ainsi six types de prudences numériques adossés à une échelle croissante du bien‑être global (entendu à l’échelle collective et planétaire) : au niveau micro de l’individu en interaction avec son environnement, nous arrimons les prudences individuelle et infocommunicationnelle ; puis au niveau méso d’un groupe ou d’une population correspondent les types de prudences sociale et sanitaire; au niveau macro, les enjeux des prudences environnementale et terrienne portent sur la préservation de notre écosystème de vie planétaire et cognitif.
