Why Digital Transformation Won't Succeed Without Cultural Change | #ICT #Infographic #Digitalisierung | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
A lot of businesses frequently use the term Digital Transformation, but what does it actually mean?

We have become so accustomed to digital technology, we are no longer able to imagine life without it. And yet, when it comes to the digital transformation of the work environment, we still have a long way to go. The greatest obstacle for digital transformation is simply, people.

Make digital transformation a capability, not a project; transform operations not just customer experience #hbrwebinar @gwesterman

— Parag Gogate (@paraggogate) 18 août 2017

There are a number of things that don’t have to do with technical innovations that are going to make the process more complicated. That’s not to say that creating the proper infrastructure to accommodate the rapid pace of development is not going to be a major issue in and of itself. But a number of key factors in implementing digital solutions are related to people. And while is relatively easy to change and adapt to new technology, people are not.

Many global companies start to realize their business will be mostly digital within the coming years, but not many are really interested in dealing with the digital transformation.

Higher Ed Owns Plenty of Technology. The Question Is Whether It's Delivering Value. | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
As institutions work to set technology priorities and budgets for the year ahead, now is the time to determine what to add, what to consolidate, and where to get more from existing investments.

EDTECH@UTRGV's curator insight, Today, 1:02 PM

"Technology value depends on more than acquisition and implementation: Higher ed institutions need to consider how tools fit within the broader ecosystem, whether people will use them, what complexity they add or remove, and what it takes to sustain them over time."

Stop Asking Whether Students Can Use AI

Stop Asking Whether Students Can Use AI | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
As generative AI has become embedded in the tools students use to search, write, create, translate, organize, and receive feedback, the boundary between "using AI" and "not using AI" has become increasingly difficult to define. More importantly, treating AI use as a binary choice does little to help students understand the different roles AI can appropriately play in learning.

Via EDTECH@UTRGV
EDTECH@UTRGV's curator insight, Today, 1:03 PM

"AI use needs more nuance than "allowed" or "prohibited": Because AI is increasingly embedded in everyday tools, students need clear guidance on how much AI involvement is appropriate for a given learning task."

| Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it

Edumorfosis's curator insight, October 29, 3:01 PM

Deciding whether students should use AI requires balancing safety with the developmental need to learn about managing risk.

Via EDTECH@UTRGV
EDTECH@UTRGV's curator insight, October 29, 3:10 PM

"Children, it turns out, may actually benefit from play experiences involving height, speed, uncertainty and even a little fear. A hazard is something kids can’t reasonably be expected to recognize or know how to handle. Managing risk asks them to learn by making a judgment call."
