Adaptable Gimp est une version de Gimp revisitée qui inclut un outil d’aide pour apprendre à utiliser le logiciel.
Cet outil se présente sous la forme d’une fenêtre qui contient des tutoriels (appelé TaskSets) pour effectuer des actions basiques ( faire des photos sepia, enlever les yeux rouges, recadrer,…). La boite à outil classique de Gimp laisse alors sa place à une barre de recherche qui permet de trouver le bon tutoriel.

PixBuilder Studio est un éditeur d'image en français et gratuit depuis peu. Il est doté de pas mal de fonctions "retouche, gestion des couleurs, courbes de niveaux, ajustements, remplissage, rotation, redimensionnement et je doit encore en oublier.
Il est simple d'utilisation. Il offre divers outils tel que: pinceau, crayon, remplissage, masque de transparence, baguette magique, lasso, effet de transitions, brosses,, tampon etc...
Il a aussi l'avantage pour ceux qui aiment le mastodonte Photosphop, d'offrir le soutien pur les couches et filtres du même éditeur.

PHO.TO is a free, fun, online image editing, enhancing and special effects tool.
Besides having all the expected editing options such as crop, rotate, resize and flip, it also has a full suite of enhancement tools to fix red eye, adjust colour balance, hue and saturation. But, what really sets this app apart are all the fun options and accessories such as the avatar option, the cartooning option and the various fun montages and frames option which allow the user to embed the picture of a person’s face into a poster or other silly scene.
Bottom line? I like PHO.TO. It’s a site that’s more about fun then serious photo-editing and it’s amazing how much fun is possible with a couple of pictures and a few minutes (make that a lot of minutes) to experiment with all the cartoon, avatar, frames and montage templates.

There are three ways to choose colors here. You can pick a particular shade you like with the mouse (that’s how most us do it, right?), you can directly type the hex RGB values (as web designers do) or the third option is to use HSL also known as Hue, Saturation and Luminosity (or Brightness).
If you are like me who has never paid attention to HSB (or HSL) because it looked all too confusing, check this brilliant comparison from the Tech Museum that makes the concept so easy to understand.
We might use hue to tell the difference between ripe bananas and ones that aren't so ripe. Or, we might use saturation to help us tell the difference between your glass of chocolate milk and the chocolate milk for your friend. Brightness can help us tell the difference between bread and toast, especially burnt toast.

Je vais aborder une notion peu connue des débutants, et que les anglophones appellent « sweet spot« , que j’ai bassement traduit par « ouverture optimale ». Vous allez voir que ce n’est pas très compliqué, mais que ça peut améliorer la qualité de vos images en obtenant le meilleur de vos optiques.
Le « sweet spot« , ou ouverture optimale, c’est tout simplement l’ouverture à laquelle votre optique produit la meilleure netteté, le meilleur piqué. Et non, votre optique n’est pas nette de la même façon à toutes les ouvertures : en général elle n’est pas à son optimum à pleine ouverture, ni le diaphragme complètement fermé d’ailleurs. Excepté peut-être pour certaines optiques professionnelles et hors de prix.

And it is using grey card. All you need to have is a grey card either purchased from a photography gear shop or you might have some neutral grey paper yourself (make sure it’s non reflective though).
Once you got your grey card then your life gets much easier in post processing. First you save lots of time without the need to adjust every picture and second you are able to batch process in seconds the rest of the pictures taken in the same light condition.

La somnolence réduit quant à elle la performance mentale, et est à l’origine de nombreux accident de la route par exemple. Mais les horaires du sommeil font partie des sujets qui font débat depuis quelques années, plus particulièrement la corrélation entre le moment du sommeil (plutôt le matin ou plutôt le soir) et l’intelligence, écrit le scientifique Robert Alison dans un article du Winnipeg Free Press qui fait un tour d’horizon des nombreuses publications scientifiques dédiées au sujet.
Selon Kanazawa, les humains ancestraux étaient diurnes, et l’évolution vers des activités plus nocturnes est une «nouvelle préférence de l’évolution» qui se retrouve chez les individus plus intelligents et dénote un «niveau de complexité cognitive plus élevé». Cette étude vient plutôt à l’encontre de l’idée reçue selon laquelle «le monde appartient à ceux qui se lèvent tôt»
