Dennis Swender's insight:
It may be a coincidence, but it is a fact that every major nation that has persecuted the Jews (as a national objective) has fallen after being the leading power in the world, notably Egypt, Assyria, Persia, Rome (the Great Dispersion in 70 AD), Germany (the Holocaust during the 1940s), and the USSR. It is interesting to note that after such national persecutions most of these nations, which were on a course to control the entire world, no longer exist.

The Productivity Commission has said that education spending has substantially increased over the last decade but student achievement has shown little or no improvement. Is that true?

Sometimes it seems as if educators can’t take on one more responsibility, and yet the scourge of fake news is not something that we can ignore. If we are to help our students to become critical and independent thinkers and responsible citizens, we need to empower them with the tools to take on fake news and other manipulative media. Since millennials are already denigrated as selfish, egotistical monsters eating up the world’s precious supply of avocado toast, I may as well admit that the technological shifts in the consumption of television over the past decade have felt suspiciously timed to my generation’s development.
One of the problems I've had for a while with traditional digital literacy programs is that they tend to see digital literacy as a separable skill from domain knowledge. In the metaphor of most educators, there's a set of digital or information literacy skills, which is sort of like the factory process. And there's data,… Via Ana Cristina Pratas

Primary school children who belong to ethnic minorities are especially vulnerable to dropping out of school early. If teachers were better equipped to deal with multiculturalism, this could change.

In America "whites once set themselves apart from blacks and claimed privileges for themselves while denying them to others," the author writes. "Now, on the basis of race, blacks are claiming special status and reserving for themselves privileges they deny to others. Isn't one as bad as the other? The answer is no."

Note Electoral College representation by states in alignment with the number of U. S. representatives plus 2 U. S. senators per state. The Electoal College process contrasts the difference between election equality vs. equity, i.e., winning 1 game (e.g., California) by 10 runs vs. winning 5 games (e.g., Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio, Florida) by 1 runs each.

One goal of education is to help develop the skills and capacities that people need to survive in the society they live in[1].
