NewSpace: A New Era In Space Exploration. As one era ends a new one begins: a new golden era in spaceflight. Join us for all the latest headlines in this bold new adventure.
It's time to talk again about our favorite space competition, SLS vs SpaceX ! It looks more and more likely that SpaceX is winning, even more now, since now a 2 billion USD prize for the first private company to land people on the moon, is being considered. And we also talk about a new brilliant plan from Robert Zubrin called Mars Direct 2.0, and then also about Venus, our other favorite planet.
Elon Musk shock: SpaceX founder delivers stunning update on Mars rocket ahead of launch- NASA News #ufo #alien #nasa The event is planned for Saturday September 28, and will show the world the break-neck speed at which SpaceX has been developing humanities hope for conquering the solar system and beyond. The reusable rocket project has taken a huge step forward and according to recent filings with the FAA (The Federal Aviation Administration) a test of Starship will take place at Boca Chica and will consist of an “experimental launch, landing, and recovery of the Starship suborbital test vehicle from Boca Chica TX”. Mr Musk tweeted a tantalising image of Starship being prepared on its Boca Chica, Texas launchpad. Related articles He tweeted: “Adding the rear moving fins to Starship Mk1 in Boca Chica, Texas.”Musk explained how the company is working relentlessly to get the spacecraft as close to a finished product as possible. In the last 48 hours, this burst of effort was marked by the installation of two of Starship Mk1’s actuating fins, or wings. These images reveal a definite departure from the design Musk and SpaceX revealed almost exactly a year ago. Space X Starship (Image: GETTY) SpaceX Starhopper (Image: GETTY)Adding to this SpaceX photographer Austin Barnard reported the developments on twitter, he said: “StarShip looks absolutely gorgeous.
Welcome to Episode 36 of What about it!? In this Episode, we will take a look at an almost finished Starship, as SpaceX has shown an insane pace over the weekend. We will also take a look at possible use cases and configurations and last but not least, we will look at a fitting Payload. Bigelow Aerospace's B330 and BA2100 inflatable modules and their recent NASA tests.
SpaceX hasn't had many launches lately, but there are still a number of flights on the schedule for 2019 including the starship prototype, CRS-19 resupply mission to the space station, 4 starlink missions, a few communication satellites and the crew dragon in-flight abort test along with the actual crewed mission for DM-2.
In episode 51 of SpaceX in the News, we get caught up on the latest updates to Starship; speak with my lawyer/wife about the buyout of Boca Chica residents; then speak about Crew Dragon and Starlink missions.
The Solar System is a really big place, and it takes forever to travel from world to world with traditional chemical rockets. But one technique, developed back in the 1960s might provide a way to dramatically shorten our travel times: nuclear rockets.
In this Episode, we will take a look at the progress in Boca Chica Texas and the Orbital Prototype and we will find out, where Blue Origin will very soon start to build and launch the first New Glenn Rocket.
In episode 50 of SpaceX in the News, we take a look at Elon Musk's visit to Starship and Starhopper in Boca Chica, Texas and discuss the recent progress made to the launch vehicle.
Watch John Blincow from Gateway Foundation and Tom Spilker from JPL discuss constructing The Gateway, a spaceport through the method of "Block Construction. This lecture took place at the Keck Institute for Space Studies/Caltech on January13, 2016.
SpaceX is banking on its commercial space taxi, Crew Dragon to fly seven astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) in an orbital mission to an orbital mission to and from Earth. So far, the American aerospace company has completed over 700 tests of the space cab’s SuperDraco engines, which allow for orbital maneuvering. Now, the Crew Dragon is being tested rigorously for its emergency abort system, as per the video that was posted by SpaceX. The dramatic video shows the space cab outfitted with eight SuperDraco engines, and SpaceX claims the setup can move the whole capsule half a mile in 7.5 seconds when all fired together at the time of an emergency. The maximum speed that the Crew Dragon can reach at this point is 436 metres per hour.
We’re less than a week away from this year’s Starship update from Elon Musk. And before the party gets started, we’re already catching some major changes happening before our eyes.

SpaceX has a lot to accomplish in the coming months Elon Musk Starship Update - September 28th
Of course we have to update on the Elon Musk Starship test in Boca Chica and at the Kennedy Space Center. Then we also talk about the Crew Dragon progress, about the New Glenn, Blue Origins's rocket, and about interesting new developments on the Moon.
What an amazing few weeks it has been watching the development of the Starship prototypes come along. SpaceX Starship construction is nearing completion with presentation day coming soon (the 28th September 2019 as it currently stands). A good thing too because there have been no Falcon 9 flights since the AMOS 17 mission back at the start of August which frankly seems like forever by SpaceX standards. But what has been going on with SpaceX since then and what is coming up in the last few months of 2019. So much to cover from Starship, Starlink, Crew Dragon and even some talk about abort systems. Lets dive in!
SpaceX Starship Update: Why Elon Musk’s SpaceX is trying to buy out Boca Chica entirely? Elon Musk and his company, SpaceX, have been testing rockets from a launch site in Texas in an effort to eventually take humans to Mars. The launch site is next to a neighborhood east of Brownsville called Boca Chica, a tiny beach and fishing village that has been transformed by the rocket company.
Humans to Mars. That’s the plan right? The problem is that sending humans down to the surface of Mars is one of the most complicated and ambitious goals that we can attempt. It’s a huge step to go from low Earth orbit, then lunar landings, and then all the way to Mars, a journey of hundreds of millions of kilometers and 2 years at the least.
We talk about the progress of the SpaceX Starship Mk1 prototype in Boca Chica as well as plans for the Boca Chica Space Port itself. Then we also give more details on the potential Mars landing sites for Starship, plans for a promising moon space elevator, and updates on NASA's Artemis moon landing program.
09.16.19 Big progress at SpaceX Boca Chica launch site and orbital complex. Big changes happening fast! New foundations at the launch pad. Water tanks moved. Roads behind the fence are beefed up with extra gravel. New cylinder foundations being built at Orbital complex's North side. Ironhenge cladding almost complete.
