Even though Facebook has now listed on the public markets and it has a team of thousands of people spread across the globe, Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg knows he and his team need to continue innovating and rolling out changes that make life easier for its users and advertisers to engage via the ubiqutous social network.

Travel companies spent more on pay-per-click advertising than any other industry except for finance, according to Wordstream’s analysis of 2,600 accounts. Ob wir es gerne hören oder nicht: ab sofort müssen wir uns “offiziell” mit einem zusätzlichen “Big Player” im touristischen Vertrieb auseinandersetzen: www.google.com/hotels . Im Juli 2011 begann Google das Experiment der direkten Vermittlung von Hotelzimmern. Seitdem wurde das System stets weiterentwickelt. Google konzentriert sich bei der Hotelvermittlung auf 3 wesentliche Faktoren: Preis, Verfügbarkeit und Umgebung.

A new report from Flurry Analytics released today details some of the key differences between smartphone and tablet usage. The study finds that tablets are used overwhelmingly during the evening, prime-time hours, and that users spend more time per-session on tablet devices compared to smartphones. Also, users tend to game heavily on tablets, and use them for entertainment much more proportionally than they do on smartphones....
