Extremely important to educate all about dangers to individual lives when posting personal information--especially vulnerable children.

The science of learning can offer some surprising and useful perspectives on how we guide and educate young people.
The science of learning is a relatively new discipline born of an agglomeration of fields: cognitive science, psychology, philosophy, neuroscience. Its project is to apply the methods of science to human endeavors—teaching and learning—that have for centuries been mostly treated as an art.
Very useful insight into how we guide and educate our youth. Interesting idea of "situation creator" as well, creating opportunities to belong, seeing that we are stronger being connected than on our own.

Pereira O'Dell's social film for Intel/Toshiba starred actor Topher Grace as Alex, a man who woke up every day in a different body, which becomes a problem when he falls in love with someone. The campaign ran over the course of six weeks, and along the way Alex was played by a cast of consumers who auditioned online. They appeared via Alex's video diaries about his condition, which were all recorded on his Intel-powered Toshiba laptop. The effort was the suprise hit of the festival and earned top honors in cyber, film and branded content. Just before Cannes, it alsoearned a Daytime Emmy. It's actually the second iteration of a campaign launched in 2011, with another social film starring actress Emmy Rossum, but judges praised this for the quality of production and story. To them, it represented a move forward in filmic and online storytelling.

I have little to add to this other than that the collection of papers provides a distinctive European perspective on MOOCs. As a consequence (?), the focus is more on the pedagogy than on the economics of higher education (@pbsloep)
