"As with any health issue in the United States, a level of politicization began to seep into an issue as rudimentary as vaccinations in the late 1990s due to a study published in the British medical journal The Lancet. This study, now completely debunked and retracted by the journal, claimed that there was a connection between the MMR vaccine and autism in children. Once that seed was planted into parents’ minds worldwide, new and old vaccines alike began to face public scrutiny surrounding their efficacy, safety, and distribution. This skepticism has impacted decades of vaccine distribution, such as H1N1, HPV, and COVID-19 vaccines. Fears of false side effects and beliefs of security without vaccination caused widespread distrust of decades-old vaccines, like the MMR vaccine, which had kept the general population safe from deadly outbreaks for decades. Thus, decades-old policies that required vaccination to keep children and adults alike safe and healthy came under public scrutiny, too.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and widespread disinformation fueled heavily by President Donald Trump, vaccination quickly became a partisan issue. President Trump’s selection of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) made it clear that this issue would continue to be politicized due to RFK Jr.’s public opinions regarding vaccines. And it has. At the end of the day, however, vaccination is a health issue, not a political one."

Claims of efficacy based on an opinion piece from Spain does not change the core issue here: « there is no sound clinical data demonstrating that nattokinase work in COVID » PERIOD… For those wanting the truth, and seeing the lies of this Spanish opinion piece and its lies: https://lnkd.in/eiHYvnpN

Anti-Vaccine Group Unintentionally Proves That Vaccines Are Safe and Effective.
Yes, some health insurers offer physicians incentives to vaccinate their patients. Why? Because it is in insurance companies' financial interest to prevent patient hospitalizations, and their data show that vaccines are a very cost-effective way to achieve that. For example, during the pandemic, Anthem provided incentives to physicians for giving their patients COVID vaccines, because Anthem understood it was more profitable to spend $250 to vaccinate a patient against COVID, than to spend tens of thousands of dollars for an unvaccinated patient’s hospital bill. Private health insurers paid an average of $40,331 for each patient hospitalized with COVID, and Anthem’s actuaries knew that vaccination greatly reduced the odds of hospitalization. Similarly, Anthem also pays physicians bonuses for counseling patients on smoking cessation, and discounts patients' insurance premiums if they don't smoke. (When we worked at Indiana University, Anthem discounted our annual health insurance premium by $600 for not using tobacco). Anthem maximizes profits my minimizing hospitalization, and they clearly understood that (to paraphrase Ben Franklin) $250 of prevention is cheaper than $40,331 of cure.

"As science becomes increasingly politicized and federal officials change policies on vaccination, sometimes reportedly over the advice of their own scientists, independent scientific groups are now stepping into the gap for evidence-based recommendations.
Medical groups now plan to issue vaccine recommendations in the wake of changes to routine vaccine guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Recommendations like these may help the public – and health insurance companies – understand which shots should be part of the routine schedule, and why.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) announced this month that it will release new guidance for Covid, flu and RSV vaccination during pregnancy. The guidance will appear at the end of the summer, before the winter respiratory season.
Five other scientific groups – the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American College of Physicians – also plan to release vaccine guidance.
The news comes amid growing changes to how vaccines are recommended by US officials." https://lnkd.in/gzHWa_Jt

🚨 How can we strategically detect narrative influence in online information? This is one of the most EXCITING tools I’ve ever contributed to with NATO StratCom👇
🔍 Introducing the DIMA‑OntoToolkit – an open-source demonstrator developed by NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence and led by Senior AI Expert Dr. Benjamin Delhomme, with contributions from experts across disciplines (including me!).
🛠️ What makes it groundbreaking?
It reveals how narratives influence us - and why - by combining:
🧠 Psychology of influence 📚 Narrative & argumentation theory ⚙️ Ontology-based symbolic reasoning 🔎 Explainable AI
➡️ I contributed psychological insights on cognitive bias and persuasive techniques – helping design detection features that make narrative influence transparent, not mysterious.
What can it detect?
🧠 Techniques like:
💢 Negativity Bias – spotlighting threats or conflict 🥇 Primacy Effect – front-loading persuasive content 🙈 Omission – leaving out key context or counterpoints 👥 False Consensus – implying broad support where there is none
Each detection is grounded in argument structure and backed by real text excerpts. It’s not a black box – it’s explainable, symbolic reasoning in action.
📊 Example: Two articles on the Nord Stream pipeline blasts – one from Reuters, one from Sputnik.
🟦 Reuters | 🟧 Sputnik
👉 The toolkit shows radically different rhetorical strategies, visualised through cognitive technique frequency.
🔗 Explore the prototype: https://lnkd.in/dUDPfAJu
🧠 This is just the start. As Dr. Delhomme noted, it’s a demonstrator – a vision of what narrative intelligence systems could become with interdisciplinary collaboration across psychology, semantics, AI, media, and security.
Massive thanks to the amazing team at NATO StratCom COE 🙌

Thank you for your support on my post yesterday, re. the retraction of a paper that showed autism-like behaviors in ADULT (not neonatal) male rats with prenatal exposure to COVID vaccine. Shoutout to sleuth friends Lonni Besançon and Kevin Patrick who are comrades in this.
What I forgot about is a somewhat similar paper from the same group----"Prenatal SARS‑CoV‑2 Spike Protein Exposure Induces Autism‑Like Neurobehavioral Changes in Male Neonatal Rats". https://lnkd.in/exz4F5xy
Since I am not sure if there is any investigation by the publisher at all, and given the evidence that I have, my comment below reflects a scientific disagreement regarding the quantitative criteria for defining “autism-like” behavior in the three-chamber test. For context, I am the first author of the methodology paper establishing the three-chamber test’s standards (Yang et al., 2011, https://lnkd.in/ekwVdzHu), which has been cited 697 times since 2011.
From what I understand, the authors reached the conclusion that that male rats with prenatal exposure to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein exhibited autism-like behaviors based on the finding “In the sociability test, the spend of time with stranger rat percent was significantly decreased in the COVID-19 spike protein with adjuvant aluminum hydroxide group compared to the adjuvant aluminum hydroxide group”. However, according to the established definition of sociability in the three-chamber test (Yang et al., 2011, https://lnkd.in/ekwVdzHu), normal sociability is defined by spending more time in the chamber containing the stranger rat than in the empty chamber (or one with an empty cup)----- that is, “autism-like” is the lack of preference for a same-sex novel conspecific, a WITHIN group comparison. Using across-group comparisons to justify the label of “autism-like” is not uncommon, but is incorrect.
In this study, the sociability index (stranger/empty) is reported as 2.7, with 51.2% of time spent with the stranger rat. This suggests that time spent in the empty chamber is approximately 18.96%. Based on the SEM values in the table, the difference between 51.2% and 18.96% *appears* to be statistically significant, based on estimation. Of course, we will need to re-run the analysis using the raw data (we would appreciate if the authors could share their raw data). If the COVID group spent more time with the stranger than the empty chamber, the data do NOT support the conclusion that male rats with prenatal exposure to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein exhibited autism-like behaviors.
Again........50-day old rats are full-grown adults, not "neonatal".

🚨 The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has issued a new policy statement calling for the COMPLETE elimination of ALL nonmedical vaccine exemptions for child care and school attendance.
That means no religious exemptions, no philosophical exemptions — only medical exemptions granted under tightly controlled conditions.
Why now? Because parental confidence in the childhood vaccine schedule has collapsed.
