October 7 – UEFA has begrudgingly given LaLiga and Serie A the greenlight to play two regular season games in the USA and Australia. UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin said its decision was “regrettable”, “exceptional” and should “not be seen as setting a precedent”.
Villarreal’s home match against Barcelona in LaLiga will be moved from the Estadio de la Ceramica to the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami and will be played December 21.

The Rugby Football League (RFL) can confirm Halifax Panthers have today had their RFL Membership removed. The club was placed into compulsory liquidation in a High Court hearing on Monday. Halifax’s home fixture with Sheffield Eagles on Sunday has been postponed.
