The Trump administration has warned FIFA that the US won't host the 2031 Women's World Cup unless a massive change is made to its player policies.

Lucknow: Taking serious note of a goof-up at a mass marriage event in Unnao on Jul 24, where mattresses wrapped with covers made of the Trinamool Congress flag cloth were given away to some of the 429 couples that were married, minister for social welfare Asim Arun said he is considering major checks to ensure that quality of such events is not compromised. To begin with, the department will be sending observers to all ceremonies organised under the CM mass marriage scheme while making it compulsory to procure gifts under the scheme “well in advance” to ensure quality control.

June 29 – FIFA’s expanded 48-team World Cup has delivered the record-breaking crowds the governing body had promised, welcoming 4.6 million supporters to football’s greatest – and most expensive-ever – showpiece across its 72 group-stage matches across Canada, Mexico and the United States. FIFA said total attendance reached 4,644,549 by the conclusion of the group stage, making it the best-attended opening phase in the competition’s history – admittedly equipped with far more teams and much bigger stadia than previous 64-match editions.
