In mid-September, construction will begin on a cavern in Salzburg’s Mönchsberg, where a facility built into the mountain will provide space for modern, safe, and efficient festival operations. About 250 people work for the festival year-round, and during the season, that number rises to as many as 4,000.

White House tells FIFA it WON'T host 2031 Women's World Cup in USA unless controversial change to transgender policy is made

The Trump administration has warned FIFA that the US won't host the 2031 Women's World Cup unless a massive change is made to its player policies. 

The White House is pressing the global soccer body to align its transgender athlete policy with current US restrictions, which seek to exclude transgender women from female sports categories.

Lucknow: Taking serious note of a goof-up at a mass marriage event in Unnao on Jul 24, where mattresses wrapped with covers made of the Trinamool Congress flag cloth were given away to some of the 429 couples that were married, minister for social welfare Asim Arun said he is considering major checks to ensure that quality of such events is not compromised. To begin with, the department will be sending observers to all ceremonies organised under the CM mass marriage scheme while making it compulsory to procure gifts under the scheme “well in advance” to ensure quality control.
