The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the integration of simulation-based experiences into remote education, especially in traditionally hands-on like medical schools. Technologies like Zoom played a pivotal role in this transformation, enabling educators to maintain interactive learning experiences even in a virtual setting. The adaptability of these platforms, with features like real-time broadcasting and screen sharing, facilitated the seamless transition of essential coursework, by a nursing program in the Southeastern United States successfully teaching nursing fundamentals and health assessment remotely. This transformation highlights the ability of educational institutions to adapt and innovate in response to unprecedented challenges, showcasing their resilience. |
