I loved this article because indies are definitely on the rise. I love the independent lane because you never know which direct good music may come from. You're left with only openmindness and anticipation of the next hit song from an artist you never heard of.

* I believe this source is an major informational resource for the industry professionals because it"s a constant and direct site filled with blogs and information as it becomes available. People love to be the first to know anything and everything. And since knowledge is power, the becomes the information.

Youtube Music has released this years class of upcoming independent artists and this is the biggest class there has been. There are 27 artists from 14 different countries. Since they were selected they will have support from Youtube in growing their music and content. This is good in order to help each artist grow and promote their content so they will remain independent instead of signing a contract to a label.

Variety.com is reliable because it has been around for many years and is well known and respected in the Media world when it comes to news. They have even won awards for being the best news reporting.

The streaming services are "taking advantage" of artists. The streaming numbers and the revenue generated aren't adding up, some believe artists should be making more money per stream.

I use Shazam everyday. I think this is incredible. Most of my music in apple library come off Shazam’s. I’ve seen celebrities use Shazam on Instagram live videos where somebody is listening to a song and they want to know who’s it by. This is also a good way to find new artist to listen to and add to your daily playlist. I’m a indie artist and I’ve seen my songs Shazam over 50 times and I’ve gained a lot of new daily and monthly listeners. Apple is winning big with this.

This is absolutely amazing. It’s a lot of young kids /teenagers who are interested in perusing a career in music. My niece for one is definitely into music and I think in my opinion this is definitely what she needs to kick start her career. Making a difference in the industry as a young person goes a long way. So many young people don’t get that chance. A lot of them do but a lot more of them don’t. I think the youth will change the world a lot with this. At least the next generation coming up will be inspired for sure.

This is a good example of how there are people trying to assist youth in the music industry. it is also a great resource for the next generation of the music industry to look into.

A new, easy to use platform for artists to release their art or NFT'S to fans. Oneof will be expected to release some time in June with plenty of planned 'Big Name' releases set in place. Oneof will also cater to artist who are still early on in their career by having a 'Spot Light' section on the platform that will promote artists. Oneof is said to be more efficient than Bitcoin and Ethereum.
