After reading this article I realized how great of an idea it was to do virtual tours because of the situation that we are currently facing with covid. This could open new ideas to help advance the music industry. Stuart Dredge published this article and after doing some research this was a reliable source, in the article he links where he got all his information from.

AmazeVr is giving fans a new experience for virtual concerts. Due to the pandemic many music venues were shut down for protocol. Now fans get to see their favorite artists perform up close as if they were in person. This also allow performers to do what they love without taking a break because of Covid-19. Although attending concerts are better in my opinion, I think this is a great alternative.

This was a shorter article but I liked how it was straight to the point. It has insight on the product and how it was planning to expand.
This is another credible source with story having the dates and author credited. The great part about the information is that it was current with the way live shows were going to evolve with technology.

This article was about new AI technology that helps mimic the sound and style of other artists. By doing this they targetted artists who passed away at the age of 27 to help spread mental awareness. The author of this article is named Sandra Dony who is a writer for techstory. With technology as such as this AI, it could really change the music industry to help with things such as mental awareness because there is a lot of that in the music industry and we don't here a lot about the reality of being a "popstar".

Sony introduces it 360 Reality audio and shares how it works. You do not need any fancy headphones but having top brand would sure help the quality. This is something we experience in movies or even would refer it to surround sound but it is not to get them both confused. 360 Reality audio uses encoding allowing user to switch channels of audio using a sphere. This is something to look forward to as they plan on accorporating it in music soon and sure to be a new trend.

Trying to get JAY-Z to join team Square in my opinion is a big power move. Because JAZ-Z to me is like the monopoly man he owns two corners with three hotels and 12 houses on his street lol. What I'm trying to say is Jay is a businessman and if Square wants to get Jay to their side they'll have to bring some heats and a excellent offer.

TIDAL board member and shareholder Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter is expected to join Square’s Board of Directors subject to the closing of the transaction. In addition to Jay-Z, all of TIDAL’s artist shareholders will continue to be co-owners of TIDAL after the deal closes.

Joshua White Insight: Spotify is a good music streaming app and it seems like a lot of artists have been making a great amount of income on Spotify. They plan on adding better things to it in the future.
*In my opinion I think Spotify will recognize all of those different abilities and allow the creator to find the best ways to monetize their fan base based on both their ability. They also try to take advantage when artists want to drop a lot of music.

Never knew that The BluePrint Group was responsible for such major roll in the music industry. I suppose the movement overall. They have a variety of talented artist, a great distribution company, as well as great management consultants. With the recent partnership with Tsu inc, one if not the best venture backed social commerce that launched in 2019. Currency that is made goes to independent artist, musicians, and many other big names as well. We are thankful to have a platform like this. One day I hope to be apart of a wonderful entertainment industry as such. We would do great business.

Tsu Inc. is a private, venture backed social commerce that launched in 2019. The purpose is to expand media presence while developing another source of income since in-person events have been canceled for over a year. The source is reliable and published by an award-winning journalist with over 15 years of experience. Forbes is a major informational resource for audio industry professionals.

This article from Forbes details a new company that assist artists with distribution and artist management. Working with big names like G-Eazy, T.I. and Lil Nas X, the company allows you to have another stream of income as an artist. I especially like this business model because the company boosted its 50% award to 100% in result of the pandemic, which really shows that they are looking out for their artists. They also allow a social universe option which allows the artist to take complete full ownership of the content that they create which puts reward and everything back in the artist's control.
Using the sources guide, I can tell that this article is reliable because it is fairly new, it is shown as being posted on Feb 15 of 2021. Also, it is from a reputable source from Forbes magazine, which is a well-know company in the entertainment industry.
I do believe that this source could be used as a major informational resource for audio industry professionals. As mentioned, this is a well known company in the entertainment industry. On one side, one may argue or begin to feel that there are too many of these platforms coming out and that this would just be another platform to fail or not see out it's full potential. On the other side, this may be the platform that an artist is waiting for. They may be able to get on this platform and catch their big break or meet another artist and create some good music.

This article explores the newly founded streaming platform, Maestro. Maestro offers its music clients monetization tools that enable them to sell tickets, merch, subscription events, and to give shout outs to fans who tip on the platform. I believe this could be a very interesting thing for the music industry. The website used is musicbussinessworldwide again. This website seems to be quite credible, though, it is not a major information platform for the industry.

This article is about a fairly new streaming company which allows independent artists to not only stream their music but also to sell merch and tickets to their performances as well. Billie Ellish's used this service for her 'Where Do We Go? Livestream' in October of last year, she sold tickets for $30 each. I think this service is great for up and coming artists, it gives them the opportunity to have a shop for everything they need all in one place. I especially like the options for artists to host their own live events. It really helps put the artist in control of their career.
This article does follow the currency portion of the source guide, stating that if an article is old and outdated you should be skeptical about its reliability. This article here was written on March 02, 2021 which is a little less than a month since then I'm writing this. Also, another key thing is you 'can't tell' who necessarily wrote the post, meaning that the article shows no bias.
This is the same website as the previous article and there isn't too many shares either on this article. But just as the last one it was a very easy read that allowed you to really understand what was going on.
There isn't a motive of making the reader choose a side in this article but if I had to come up with sides I would say that looking from the artist's perspective with Maestro joining Sony that helped increase exposure and also I'm sure of new features within the streaming service. On the other end, joining with Sony could have taken away a lot of ownership that Maestro leaders that may have still wanted that control.

It is good to know in all these royalties and easy ways to your hands-on music at such a low cost or no cost at all that there are platforms out there that are treating their artists extremely fairly and are truthful with their pay. This article is about the Fender Play app which allows you to learn how to play the guitar. I feel like this app really shows how advanced and new our technology has grown from. Even so much of knowing that people were probably just learning how to play guitar from watching YouTube to know the best and most efficient way of learning how to play in a self-teaching at home method.
This article, although short, gives a good overall summary of the uses of the app. A lot of the extra information you would have to actually use and download the app to see any extra features and overall "gameplay".
On one side, a classic/old-school guitarist may strongly despise of this teaching method. Having strong views on being taught from a true professional or guru on this subject, which may in some cases be necessary. On the other, more modern side, this may be the next big thing. Someone stuck in quarantine during the pandemic may have found their new passion on this app. And would strongly suggest it to someone they may know looking to learn how to play. Especially if they maybe don't have access to a mentor to learn from. |
