(Zerno On-line) "Given that Russia maintains its position as a leading global supplier of grain and oilseed products, the reduction in supply could result in lower export revenues. Experts discussed the current state of grain logistics and the prospects for exports in the 2024–2025 season." "Russia reduced wheat exports by 9.5% in the first three months of the 2024–2025 agricultural year (from July 1 to October 1), reaching 15.4 million tons compared to 17 million tons during the same period of the 2023–2024 season. These data are provided by the Russian Grain Union (RZS)."

(Reuters) "NAPERVILLE, Illinois, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Despite a near-record U.S. corn harvest, speculators have built their most bullish stance in Chicago corn futures and options since February 2023 as U.S. exporters have recently posted some staggering sales volumes. However, the optimism could have a shelf life because supplies remain ample. In the week ended Nov. 12, money managers expanded their net long in CBOT corn futures and options to 109,989 contracts from 22,043 in the previous week. That move included funds' largest round of short-covering in six months."

(OilWorld.ru) "Türkiye is a major importer of wheat and corn, especially from the Black Sea region. In the 2024-25 season, wheat imports are forecasted to reach 6.5 million tons, mainly from Russia, while corn imports are expected to reach 2.1 million tons, primarily from Ukraine. This is lower than last season's estimates, due to the revised government import policy aimed at supporting domestic wheat production and stimulating corn imports, ensuring a sufficient grain supply in the domestic market at competitive prices."

(Mezőhír) "Since September-October, the global wheat price has been on a downward trend. In our region, strong Russian exports, and in South America, the excellent Argentine harvest are pulling down the achievable price levels. Meanwhile, an interesting competition is unfolding between two major flour exporters: Egypt's milling industry is trying to take advantage of the fact that Türkiye is losing markets due to the government's protectionist measures."

(Reuters) " Nov 14 (Reuters) - U.S. farmers struggling with slumping incomes and depressed grain prices have been switching to cheaper generic pesticides and fungicides as they plan for spring planting next year, which market analysts said could hit the bottom lines of agrichemical companies like Bayer. Signs of these financial impacts are already emerging. Bayer (BAYGn.DE) opens new tshares fell sharply to a 20-year low on Tuesday, after the chemical company warned that weak global agricultural markets and a slumping U.S. farm economy are likely to pressure profits further."

(Reuters) "MOSCOW, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Russian farmers appear to be changing their habit of withholding excess grain for better times amid low global prices, as high interest rates make it attractive to cash in and deposit money in banks at home, analysts said. The Russian central bank hiked its key interest rate to 21% last month, the highest level in more than 20 years, as it fights inflation in the overheated economy. Many banks are now offering short-term deposits with interest rates of up to 25%."
