Manchester United to replace Old Trafford with UK’s largest ever stadium with capacity of 100,000 | Football Finance | Scoop.it
March 11 – Manchester United have officially unveiled plans to construct a 100,000-capacity, state-of-the-art stadium, which would replace their historic 115-year-old Old Trafford home.

Everton announce year of financial progress despite seventh consecutive year of losses

Everton announce year of financial progress despite seventh consecutive year of losses | Football Finance | Scoop.it

April 1 – It’s not often a £53.2million loss can be counted as a win, but in the case of Everton, it marks an £89.1m improvement on the deficit incurred during the 2022-23 season, with the club saying that the reduction outlines a year of financial progress.

Man City score big win with tribunal ruling Premier League APT rules are ‘unenforceable’ | Football Finance | Scoop.it

February 17 – Defending champions Manchester City may be finding it tough on the field to maintain their dominance but off it they have scored a significant win over the Premier League.
Last Friday an independent tribunal deemed that sponsorship rules in place in the league for nearly three years were “void and unenforceable” in a massive blow to the league.
The ruling follows a previous verdict by the tribunal which found three aspects of the so-called Associated Party Transaction rules which ran between December 2021 and November 2024 to be unlawful.
