Manchester United has confirmed the proposed location for its new 100,000-capacity stadium, with the venue to be built around 350 metres north west of the current Old Trafford. The stadium forms part of a wider masterplan for the sports-led regeneration of the Trafford Wharfside area, which has been published by Trafford Council.

October 2 – Manchester City should face the “appropriate consequences” if wrongdoing is established, a spokesperson for British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said on Thursday, clarifying earlier remarks from the PM.
