The brain of multilingual individuals looks different from others who know only one language, and it works differently too.

Speaking a second language may change how you see the world: The #linguistic difference seems to influence how speakers view events. The results of a new study suggest that a second #language can play an important unconscious role in framing perception. #terminology

“It’s obvious that knowing more than one language can make certain things easier — like traveling or watching movies without subtitles. But are there other advantages to having a bilingual (or multilingual) brain?"

I came across this article today, an impressive case for normalization of technological innovation in language education that scales the concept beyond CALL (to SMALL, as I argue in a draft work-in-progress shared here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GWVtAH2yfp5tL3bdMg58_M5Deq36Ot_jQ_w8rflsGuA/edit?usp=sharing) |

Do you want to earn more money and be happier? Then you need to learn a second #language. Money can not buy happiness but it helps: "Being bilingual earns you more money", says Kayla Matthews:http://tnw.co/1HJFOda

I found this article most interesting, having lived in RI, NJ, GA, IN, MD, and TX. After awhile, you will start to pick up certain words, while dropping other similar words that I have used all of my life. The words and phrases both tend to change from one state to another. Read the article, it is enlightening. Fred Issa, |
