Avec le hantavirus, on essaie notre 1ʳᵉ analyse multiréseaux sociaux, avec des résultats assez tranchés...
Quelques infos vues des coulisses :

1- J'ai été surpris de l'équilibre sur Facebook et Threads.
Avec ÉNORMÉMENT de contenus sortant directement des médias, que ça soit parce qu'ils ont tous une page là-bas, que des tonnes de pages "d'info" qui ne sont que des repompes, ou des traductions, surement sortie de machines à copie scrapping+LLM...

Et autant des pires contenus aperçus, avec des "célébrités antivaxx" apparus durant le COVID. Notre role n'est pas de faire du fact-checking sur les horreurs, donc on n'a pas trop balancé de nom, mais...
(Sauf un, car avec des dizaines de posts récoltants des dizaines de milliers de rédactions, il FAUT que vous regardiez ces pages FB et Insta si vous vous intéressez au phénomène).

En combinant ces deux pop, on obtient un réseau qui a l'air équilibré dans les stats, à côté d'un Twitter/X où ceux criant au complot ont gagné la partie coté visibilité et nombre de publications 🫠

2- On n'a pas inclus Insta, ni Tiktok, ni Youtube... car j'avais peur ça passe trop par l'image et la vidéo, alors qu'on étudie que le texte.
Mais on aurait dû, les descriptions donnant un bon aperçu si on en croit ce qu'on arrive à déduire des contenus videos de FB et Twitter/X.
En plus notre methodo scale : un RS ou quelques milliers de posts en plus aurait peu augmenté le temps d'analyse.

3- Clémence Hutinet de chez Visibrain nous avez fourni des données dans toutes les langues, mais j'ai préféré me centrer sur la France pour une 1ere:
Le facebook français pouvant être différent de l'allemand ou de l'espagnol (pas les mêmes gens, exposés à des médias différents), il aurait fallu faire des analyses par langue pour savoir ce qui est commun ou différent dans leurs opinions...

Ça se fait, mais avec 15 slides bourrés à ras bord, je ne regrette pas de m'être arrêté là.

4- Intéressant de constater la différence entre ce que j'ai analysé manuellement sur les posts, et ce que les LLM en disait (on a test gemini, gpt et mistral) :
Soit peu de différence, car on était tous les deux très conservateur, à ne répondre "Oui" que s'il n'y avait aucun doute.

La plupart étaient dues à une hallucination. Donc facile à voir en demandant de reposter le lien du post en résultat du llm, et en reposant la question si un des liens était manquants/inconnus.

5- Et économique aussi coté LLM :
On a du dépensé quoi ? Moins de 10 euros en tout ? 20 ?
Mathis Hammel pourra donner les chiffres précis, mais ça m'a rassuré coté viabilité économique et environnementale, le tout coutant moins qu'une heure de vibe-coding d'un étudiant :x

6- Pour rester concis (hum), on a gardé par mal de chiffre de notre côté. Sur les corrélations entre réseaux/narratifs, les mots utilisés ("arnaque", "saloperie"...), les graphes sémantiques, les "pires contenus" (allant jusqu'à la menace)...
Si jamais il y a des intéressés, je ferai une publi à part dans la semaine ?

I really like this take on this issue by Dr Gaffney. One small issue I would take is that parents are exercising autonomy for their child and so it is in some ways autonomy. Or more appropriately, they are considering future autonomy rights. Dr Gaffney is right though that this isn't about autonomy really. But let's say it is. Parents hold rights in trust - the child's future autonomy- and many adolescents have capacity and competency to make decisions for some medical treatments. In fact many states allow adolescents to legally consent for medical treatments including HPV vaccine. So then if the issue is about autonomy then this would argue for adolescents to consent for vaccines on their own as long as they meet the standards of capacity (informed consent)

People often use words like outbreak, epidemic, pandemic, and emergency as if they mean the same thing.


They do not.

A new review by the Vaccine Integrity Project confirmed that tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination during pregnancy is safe and protects newborns from pertussis (or whooping cough).

Pertussis can be serious for young babies, making vaccination so important. In 2025, there were 28,783 cases of pertussis including 16 deaths, and infants had the highest rate of severe disease. About 41% of those under 6 months who contracted pertussis were hospitalized, according to provisional CDC data.

We have to rethink vaccination campaigns.

A new paper by Li et al. (2026) shows when and how these can sometimes backfire on public opinion.
The authors studied influenza vaccine promotion among 648 U.S. adults.

When people felt that vaccination messages threatened their freedom, as well as when they were tired of hearing similar messages repeatedly, they experienced more psychological reactance.

This psychological reactance was strongly associated with vaccine refusal.

Interestingly, descriptive norms strengthened the boomerang pattern: when people thought vaccination was already common, freedom-threatening messages and message fatigue were even more strongly linked to reactance and refusal.

We have to start thinking more about HOW health campaigns are delivered.
Many communication campaigns assume that more reminders, more pressure, and more norm-based messaging are good strategies.
But this paper suggests that they can sometimes create the opposite effect.

The government is now asking health and wellness influencers to clearly display their qualifications while sharing advice online.

It sounds basic. But it was missing.

For years, medical advice has been mixed with opinions, trends, and half-truths. And for the average person, it is almost impossible to tell the difference.

The problem was never content. It was credibility.

When it comes to health, the cost of misinformation is not engagement. It is real harm.

From a medical perspective, there is a clear line:
General wellness content is fine.
But advice around prevention, diagnosis, or treatment needs expertise.

This move does one important thing.

It gives the audience context.
Who is speaking?
What is their background?
Should this be taken as guidance or just content?

That clarity was long overdue.

This is not about restricting creators. It is about protecting people.

Because in healthcare, trust should not be built on followers.
It should be built on knowledge and accountability.

Too many individuals — especially older adults, those with chronic conditions, and pregnant women — remain unprotected, not because solutions don’t exist, but because confidence in systems is uneven and access is too often fragmented.
What gives me confidence is the momentum behind a shared vision:

QUAND UNE ÉPIDÉMIE MINEURE OCCUPE NEUF JOURS DE PRIME TIME : ANATOMIE D'UNE SATURATION MÉDIATIQUE La couverture massive de l'épisode Hantavirus du MV Hondius (3 décès, 11 cas, risque OMS « très faible ») entre le 6 et le 15 mai 2026 est-elle le produit d'un dispositif délibéré d'occultation de crises préexistantes — ou l'expression d'un mécanisme émergent que personne ne pilote ?

📌La question n'est pas anodine. Pendant le pic Hantavirus, l'amiral Brad Cooper reconnaissait devant le Sénat américain UNE seule enquête active de pertes civiles sur 13 629 frappes en Iran. Le bureau Civilian Harm Reduction est passé de 10 à 1 employé. Sortie historique des Émirats de l'OPEP, alerte IPC sur 135 000 Soudanais en famine, attaques quotidiennes dans le détroit d'Ormuz : autant de dossiers à forte charge politique-démocratique relégués au second plan.

🔬 7 itérations, 95 sources sur 7 langues, 24 % de sources contra-dominantes, cinq hypothèses concurrentes testées par falsification poppérienne. La thèse du complot coordonné est RÉFUTÉE : la couverture des crises géopolitiques n'a PAS décru pendant le pic. En revanche, une hypothèse affinée tient le choc empirique (plausibilité 52 %) : un système émergent couplant cinq strates faiblement coordonnées — agences presses mondiales, chaînes info continue, administrations sanitaires, exécutifs en guerre, plateformes algorithmiques ?

💡 Le couplage est rendu trivial par trois variables : la mémoire traumatique Covid-19 résiduelle, la concentration de la propriété médiatique, le sourcing convergent AP/Reuters/AFP. Aucun acteur unique ne décide ; le système produit néanmoins un effet macro. Bénéficiaire principal en termes de réduction du contrôle démocratique : l'exécutif en situation de conflit armé — sans qu'aucune intentionnalité ne soit nécessaire.

🎯 La question stratégique n'est plus « qui pilote la saturation ? » mais « comment refonder les conditions structurelles d'amplification ? ». La dénonciation d'acteurs uniques est contre-productive. Seule la déconstruction des filtres structurels apporte une réponse opérationnelle.

🔭 Fenêtre critique : 30 jours jusqu'au 15 juin 2026 pour la réinscription du dossier CENTCOM à l'agenda parlementaire. Au-delà, la probabilité d'audit indépendant décroît fortement.
