One cannot believe that a vaccine developper would not know how unethical a placebo controlled might. So much that one wonders .

It does appear that Physicians for Informed Consent is either misleading you or showing their ignorance. The claim: one could delay MMR vaccines in newborn babies. The truth is that the maternal transfer of antibodies to newborns is efficient and renders protection until the infants are 6–7 months old in the case of mumps and rubella and 7–8 months old in the case of measles. Hence infants remain vulnerable to infections before the first dose of the MMR vaccine.

I teach academic research and writing and while I warn my students to be careful of the new AI writing tools, and not allow the bot to do your writing, a picture is still worth a thousand words.

Secretary Kennedy, head of the Department of Health and Human Services, presented a report yesterday that supported his rather unconventional views on health issues. The first indication that something was wrong with the report was when he listed several HHS scientists as authors of papers they had never written. This morning, it was revealed that the paper apparently was generated using AI with multiple errors. The report contained 522 citations, of which 37 were used numerous times, but with incorrect authors and other details.

This highlights the inherent risks of relying on AI to perform tasks. It can fabricate information to make things appear legitimate. It is appropriately called "Hallucinating." What an appropriate term for Mr. Secretary, who has a long history of drug abuse, and for Mr. Trump, who can fabricate untruths and half-truths at a rate that would stymie the best AI system. | 81 comments on LinkedIn

Anti-vaxxers have increased their influence and minimized the dangers of measles infections while exaggerating the risks of vaccinations. This year, we've lost two unvaccinated healthy children. Important Developments:
-- The Trump administration's dismantling of public health infrastructure, coupled with anti-vaccine misinformation, is exacerbating the measles outbreak.
-- Measles cases are rising, with some resulting in death and long-term health complications, yet public perception of vaccine risks is skewed.
-- Budget cuts and layoffs are hindering the CDC's ability to respond effectively to the crisis, while partisan divides further complicate the issue.
-- The suppression of data and the spread of misinformation about measles treatments are also contributing to the problem.

I wouldn't use the language here, but I think the points are valid.

"This might be a controversial take, but I think putting an ignorant boob like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in charge of the nation’s health was a fundamentally bad idea.

That personal view was reinforced May 27 when the man who failed up and somehow became the U.S. Health and Human Services secretary overruled actual smart people and announced the COVID-19 vaccine would be dropped from the government's recommended immunization schedule for healthy children and pregnant women.

The announcement was made in the same way quack wellness influencers and dimwitted conspiracy theorists announce things: via a video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, currently known as a fact-resistant den of looniness and hate."
