Today, Microsoft took the wraps on the next version of Windows. It's called Windows 10. The current Windows 8, as the world now knows, was a superimposed mishmash of two operating systems. Windows 10, for the most part, fixes that, and puts the two kinds of Windows each in their own corner.

Microsoft sidelines Windows 8 despite the operating system being less than two years old. In a blog post by Microsoft Senior Marketing Communications Manager Brandon LeBlanc, he explains that there will be no more major update releases for Windows 8: “despite rumours and speculation, we are not planning to deliver a Windows 8.1 ‘Update 2’.”
