TheBottomline-ManILuvThisAd- Get Your Billion Back, America, Reunited: H&R Block Commercials - YouTube

Man I Luv this ad.  This H&R Block as is so well done (aint nothing like using a hit oldies song to restire good memories).  Here's why the spot  works.  Its quick, it's catchy and it lands the pitch.  it creates attention with "Reunited" and then gets your interrest with "getting your money back".  But where it really lands is that this spot is entertaining (I don't know if people caught the part where the defense community delivers your tax dollars back on an aircraft carrier #Cute).

On a whole this is a great spot

And Thats TheBottomline

TheBottomLine- TheWorldsMostPowerfulDrug

TheBottomLine- TheWorldsMostPowerfulDrug | TheBottomlineNow | Scoop.it

You know after seeing “The Wolf Of Wall Street”, the button downs on WallStreet are acting like their mistress {Hollywood) just did a tell all to TMZ (like everyone else in America who has a sense of financial acumen, didn’t knowabout th already).

The movie was great but in any great story or industry you have your heroes, villains and the extras (  funny, it’s the extras who crying that the movie has exaggerated  just a bit. Hmmm maybe the fun and games were above the extras pay grade.).   I mean what cook in the kitchen at a restaurant knows that the owner’s cooking the books (unless the owner and cook are best friends).  Hey Extras, you didn’t know because it wasn’t known of your business to know.

Money and profits create strange bedfellows (believe me, this movie shows that and I know this first hand).  Profits and taxes have created an environment that the sales force for many companies become the driving factors in a company and for them to be well compensated, well let’s just say that the company might get a little creative.  This creativity feeds the drug that’s mentioned in the above caption.  More money (no matter how you get it) pushes you to the front of the opportunity line.   To feed this appetite to win and have more power, people do things that might be out of their character to sustain this monsters (money”s) appetite.

So as with any Drug, make sure the drug is being used to cure something as opposed to being a quick fix.

TheBottomLine- "YouCanOnlySeeWhat YouCanSee"

TheBottomLine- "YouCanOnlySeeWhat YouCanSee" | TheBottomlineNow | Scoop.it

You can only see what you can see……

I constantly tell people that there are no absolute truths.  Truths are based on the knowledge that you have at hand.  That being said, that’s why it is so important for people to be open minded and not be slaves to their fears or comforts.  That’s why I like numbers.  You can only see what you see…….

Many times people ask “Why are you so in love with money”.  I’m not, my love affair is with numbers (the money is just a way to keep score.).  I love numbers because even if I’m comfortable with an idea.  The numbers define (for me) its impact or ability for impact.  You can only see what you see….

Sometimes people are so comfortable with their comforts and fears, they throw the numbers out the window.  “I just need a loan (never mind the interest)”. “Can you invest in my business? (really can you sponsor me?).  “I need to go to school (I have no idea how I’m going to pay for it).  People all the time have truths that are attached to their perceptions of what makes them comfortable (my comfort zone is numbers).  Their decisions are usually based on what they perceive will be the least harmful path (no matter how much It cost).  You can only see what you can see……..

Like the lady in my article picture.  She’s blind and has no idea that her Mittens is a dog (and just as content to think that also mind you).  You see her blindness facilitates her perception and in her understanding, Mittens is a cat (that’s her truth).  So without the tools to understand something, how in the world can you really expect someone to overstand an issue (or your truth).  You can only see what you can see……

TheBottomline is this, numbers are definers of projected out comes because the one area that is not effected by information gaps in overstandings or understandings are the numbers.  You can only see what you can see…….

I’m ReggieRedd and that’s TheBottomLine

Reginald Shipman's insight:

Wow this watch may be a real game changer

Naved Farooqui's curator insight, March 19, 2014 2:11 AM

I think the guys at Google got this round and have taken the lead from Apple and Samsung. As Samsung developed its own OS for the wearable tech, it was anybody's guess that the fight for the OS will determine the future of the hardware too. Follow this with the Motorola sale (w/o patents ) to lenovo. and then that subtle investment in Lenovo that ensures that they have their hands in the hardware market without really upsetting samsung.....this space is getting interesting and how......at the end....consumer will definitely be the winner.
