A national youth support group believes music festivals are unfairly targeted as drug-taking events because most organisers take their duty of care seriously.

Phillip J Noel's curator insight, November 4, 2013 6:07 PM

I'm not sure what's wrong with the world today that they need something to enhance what everybody been enjoying for a long period of time. The industry gets blame because its where it happens most of the time. But drugs wars been goin on for the longest time.

Peety Peterson's curator insight, September 14, 2014 12:29 AM

I find it very unfortunate that music festivals are recognized as a drug infested play ground. Music festivals for many are an escape just for the music and experience alone. The fact that the music festivals are becoming more visually enhanced, makes kids even more excited to try it on drugs. This is ver unfortunate for the people who take their jobs seriously and want to make a fun environment.

Le Marche off season and the Religious Festivals

Le Marche off season and the Religious Festivals | The Business of Events Management | Scoop.it

One of of the best period to visit Le Marche is the one the follow the high season (July and August). The weather is plenty of sunny days, the temperature is still warm. The accommodation become more affordable and the services even better than in summer. In the restaurant you can get more at the same price. The fishing season restarts and you can finally eat local catches undoubtedly superiors.

Festivals and happenings become more genuine because intended not for tourists but for locals itself.
Shopping is, among the others, one of the most convenient activities to do off season in Le Marche. Renowed for shoes, the "Fermano" area can offer a wide range of discounted shoes from the summer collection you can still wear as cocktail shoes or in evening occasions.
You still have food festivals around Le Marche but what if you like to take interesting pictures, Catholic or not, the Religious Festivals represent those which you have to attend.
Many religious feast days are also celebrated throughout this period of the year and most towns have a patron saint whom they honour annually in suitable fashion. Normally local towns co-ordinate these public events, so you can go to all of them!
All festivals, as with most things in Italy are family friendly affairs, where even the smallest of children can be seen running around into the small hours till the School restarts.

Here the complete list of the Religious festivals in Le Marche: http://www.marchebreaks.com/religiousfestivals.htm ;
