I've now had a chance to play with both of these on the Fuji 18mm, 35mm, and 60mm lenses and though I would share my findings by using my trusty Canon AV-1 as a model.

When I go away, I just want to have fun and explore. If I am able to capture some of that experience in photos then great! And this is what makes the X100S a brilliant travel camera, it allows me to do just that, for the moments when I want to document some of the moments I experience to share with the world, it delivers.

I remember back when the very first X100 was presented to the world. I immediately fell in love with the way it looked. At that time, I didn't know about the image quality and how lovely it would be, to handle this pearl of a camera. But after...

Like I was saying in the X100T post, Fuji Canada was nice enough to lend me a couple of camera and lenses over the Holiday season. The first thing I did was update the firmware to get all the new goodies. Here are my observations after using the camera for the last 3 weeks.

The Mirrorless Interchangeable lens sector of the camera market is without doubt the most dynamic, the most innovative and the most changeable. 2014 saw a lot of new products (Thanks to Photokina) but will 2015 be just as interesting or is this a year for consolidation? The big players here are Sony, Fuji and the m4/3 dynamic duo, Panasonic and Olympus, They each deserve their own article, and today it's the turn of m4/3. So this is my take on what the state of play is at the moment and what might (or might not happen)

In terms of hardware, it was interesting looking at this years collection of images compared with last year and seeing that I’ve used the big, traditional SLR cameras in my workflow much less than the new mirrorless, Fuji cameras. This year vs. last year is almost inversely proportional as most of the work I was happiest with last year came from the Canon 1DX while this year, most came from the Fuji cameras.

Myth 1: It Doesn't Offer Enough of a Size or Weight Difference
I've spoken with countless photographers who often leave their DSLR home to avoid carrying extra weight. Some even purchase expensive telephoto zoom lenses only to complain they're too much of a hassle to bring along. I've been on smal
