"So you want to be able to create and access your digital portfolios on the go. There are apps that allows you to do that and some of don't cost a dime. There is also the possibility to work on your digital portfolios on Google Drive, in fact EdTech did a great video tutorial on how to use Drive as a portfolio solution in your iPad classroom. Below are some of the good apps you can try on your iPad to create digital portfolios and as always if you know about another good app to add to the list, please share with us in the comment form below. Enjoy"

In case you hadn't realized (or been on social media all day), today's date is quite fun. It's November 11th, 2013, also known as 11/12/13. Did you know that a couple even got married at 9:10 am, on live television?

With iPads, once we begin thinking beyond the confines of a page, anything is possible. Consider the video below created several years ago by two of my students. First they wrote plot summaries. Then they wrote character sketches. From there, they crafted paragraphs about theme, tying the visual and auditory elements of their videos back to the books. Finally, they created storyboards and bibliographies before producing and publishing their final product.

Research shows that interests powerfully influence our academic and professional choices. When we're interested in a task, we work harder and persist longer, bringing more of our self-regulatory skills into play.
