As traders weighed expectations for lower US wheat production and ongoing Black Sea disruptions against signs of ample global supplies, wheat futures rose on Friday August 7. Stronger crude oil prices and concerns over export reliability provided additional support, although large Russian harvests and favorable weather in key producing regions continued to cap gains.
