For over five years, we at the Christensen Institute have been collecting data on blended-learning schools from around the world. In 2016, we launched our redesigned Blended Learning Universe (BLU)—a hub for resources and research, including a directory of schools practicing blended learning.

La educación evoluciona hacia un enfoque híbrido que combina la enseñanza presencial con medios digitales, ofreciendo acceso a recursos, flexibilidad y dinamismo. Por tanto, este modelo amplía oportunidades y exige orientación al profesorado, siendo óptima una mezcla de enseñanza tradicional con tecnología, potenciando cada una de ellas.

Este artículo sobre la convergencia entre tecnología y enseñanza subraya que el futuro de la educación será híbrido, combinando entornos presenciales y digitales para potenciar experiencias de aprendizaje más flexibles y adaptativas (Collabnix, sf). Esta visión surge con la necesidad de que el profesorado desarrolle competencias de curación de contenidos digitales, no solo para seleccionar recursos relevantes sino para integrarlos pedagógicamente en entornos mixtos. La curación, en este sentido, se convierte en una práctica estratégica que permite articular herramientas tecnológicas con objetivos educativos claros, facilitando la alfabetización digital del alumno y fomentando un aprendizaje más significativo y contextualizado.

Creo que la educación híbrida no sustituye a la escuela tradicional, sino que la enriquece. Combinar tecnología con la enseñanza presencial permite aprender de forma más flexible, cercana y adaptada a cada alumno. Cuando se usa con sentido, la tecnología no aleja, sino que acerca el aprendizaje a la vida real y prepara mejor para el futuro.

La lectura de Agentic AI: What Educators Need to Know me ha dejado con sensaciones mixtas. La autora presenta la IA “agéntica” como una oportunidad enorme para fomentar la autonomía del alumnado y aliviar parte de la carga docente, algo que bastante encaja con la idea de la IA como apoyo pedagógico que plantea Luckin (2018). Hasta ahí, todo bien. Pero echo en falta una mirada más crítica. El artículo insiste en que los docentes deben “experimentar sin miedo”, aunque apenas aborda las condiciones reales que hacen posible ese experimento: tiempo, formación, recursos y un marco ético claro. Selwyn (2019) recuerda precisamente que cualquier innovación tecnológica en educación debe analizarse teniendo en cuenta desigualdades y limitaciones estructurales. Aun así, valoro que el texto invite a repensar nuestro rol docente. La IA no viene a sustituirnos, pero sí a obligarnos a revisar qué significa enseñar en un entorno digital que cambia sin pedir permiso.

Este recurso no solo responde preguntas, sino que puede completar tareas más complejas como analizar datos o generar recursos educativos por lo que puede ser una herramienta beneficiosa para el entorno educativo siempre que se use con criterio. También, nos recuerda que la tecnología no sustituye al profesorado, sino que deben vincularse éticamente para enriquecer la enseñanza.

Contenido muy interesante sobre uno de los temas principales en la actualidad, el uso de la Inteligencia Artificial. Aunque este tipo de IA no la conocía, me resulta de gran interés conocer una nueva herramienta que tiene grandes diferencias positivas con las típicas herramientas que usamos en nuestro día a día (Chat GPT o Gemini).
Sobre todo me parece muy importante su contribución al mundo de la educación. Yo, personalmente, creo que favorecería en gran medida el trabajo del docente en el aula ya que lograría aliviar gran parte del trabajo diario de este puesto. Si se utiliza correctamente esta herramienta no trataría de sustituir al profesor, sino que ayudaría a enfocar el trabajo de este a la mejora del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje con sus alumnos.
Sin embargo creo que habría que recalcar un punte importante, el que esta herramienta no se debe usar a la ligera y su uso debería implicar una formación del docente. Por eso el artículo sugiere comenzar lentamente para poder ir optimizando el uso de esta IA en las escuelas.

Para usar la IA éticamente a nivel educativo es esencial apoyarse en la exactitud, agencia, accesibilidad, evaluación y autenticidad, ya que estos pilares invitan a docentes y estudiantes a cuestionar si la información ofrecida por la IA es verídica y a conocer si todos tienen acceso a la tecnología, cómo se evalúa el aprendizaje y quién realiza el pensamiento y la creación, por lo que la IA desde estos principios tiende a potenciar el pensamiento crítico, la equidad y la responsabilidad educativa.
