Few organizations have an overarching strategy that channels all this branded content into a consolidated planning model. In parallel, we see lack of defined leadership for overall orchestration and accountability for content-driven programs.

Jean-Marc Le Gall  : « Le Web 2.0 introduit l'échange d'égal à égal », Spécial Management  : vers un circuit d information collaboratif | information analyst | Scoop.it

***

Et que pensez-vous du phénomène « Brind your own device » (BYOD), autrement dit l'utilisation des appareils personnels pour des usages professionnels ?

***

Google+ unveiled itself to the public amidst a chorus of praise and adulation from techies all over the globe. Unfortunately, it also earned a good amount of scorn from individuals who were not ready to grasp the unique philosophy Google+ was promoting. That philosophy is one of openness.

Unlike Facebook, Google+ is designed to connect strangers, and inspire collaboration and contribution. It has proven to be an amazing platform for promoting ideas, brands and people.

Since its early rollout, Google+ has forced competitors to begin evolving, inspiring platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to develop new ways of thinking about social media and the functionality they offer.

Daniel Kahneman’s Thinking, Fast and Slow reviewed

Daniel Kahneman’s Thinking, Fast and Slow reviewed | information analyst | Scoop.it

In 1969, the psychologist Robert Zajonc published an article about a curious study. He'd posted a silly-sounding word—either kardirga, saricik, biwonjni, nansoma, or iktitaf—on the front page of some student newspapers in Michigan every day for several weeks. Then he sent questionnaires to the papers' readers, asking them to guess whether each word referred to "something 'good' " or "something 'bad.’ " Their answers were consistent, if a little strange: Nonsense words that showed up in print many times were judged to be more positive than those that appeared just once or twice. The fact of their repetition, said Zajonc, gave the words an aura of warmth and trustworthiness. He called this the mere exposure effect.

HR Magazine - Too much information: Data overload at work damages staff motivation, survey of 2,000 employees shows | information analyst | Scoop.it

Why visual meetings, facilitation, note taking, and other techniques are important in an age of information overload.

Research about the problem of data-overload and how it kills productivity.   This means it is important for find new ways of working in an age of big data - visualization helps because it improves our ability to retain informatino and collaborative.

Harman continues: "The way we have to work today involves assimilating information from many sources and the fact we're struggling to do this is a very real business issue - one that will only increase as we enter the big data era. We can't afford to be held back by the volume of information when the climate is so tough. Something as simple as searching for information can have a big effect at a time when businesses are looking to free up employees time to be more innovative and productive in order to stimulate the growth most are looking for in 2012."
