Virtual reality is a powerful, low-cost, easy-to-access resource for teachers. You can create deep, meaningful learning experiences for students with VR using a headset like the inexpensive Google Cardboard. With this device and a smartphone, students can be transported instantly to different places around the world. If using headsets and smartphones isn’t the best fit for your class, there are many 360-degree video experiences viewable on iPads and Chromebooks that provide a VR-like experience.

Some great examples of how to use VR and Google Expeditions in the classroom. Through placements where students have VR, I have noticed that their interest and attention is 10 fold better when using any other technology....

It was great to learn that virtual reality has been incorporated in mobile devices. It would make it easier to share information with our students if we do not have enough classroom devices to lend out. Today, most of our students use their own mobile devices, so we could use it to our advantage and give students tasks to complete from home. I thought it was a great idea when this article mentioned using virtual reality as a motivational incentive in our classrooms. Students would love to visit places around the world in a matter of seconds.

Augmented and Virtual Reality in Education is the future of every classroom. 21st-century learners were born into a world of mobile devices and internet access. To this generation, simply being mobile isn't enough; they expect virtual, augmented experiences in their daily life. Educating students in virtual reality will lead to future advances in the virtual design field.

Ronnie Burt shares his first hand experience about using virtual reality for educational purposes. He describes how we can even portray ourselves as animals to learn from. I thought it was amazing to learn that virtual reality is a possible solution for students that are diagnosed with ADD. Burt claims that students will be completely immersed in the virtual world, that there will be no room for distractions.

Virtual reality in Education is NOT lagging behind, worldwide more and more countries are implementing virtual videos to their educational curriculum. Its changing from trying to remember what you read or hear to learning at the same time you are doing and seeing something with virtual videos. In Virtual education students are motivate and that improves their learning process in general.

The evolution of virtual reality has become much more then it intended to be. This virtual reality simulator will allow people and students to follow climbers as they ascend or descend mount Everest. It has become a story telling tool that allows people to share resources that could prove useful for teachers and anybody seeking a immersive experience. Virtual reality has set the stage for student reading explorations and opened the world to far more immersive education.

Includes Virtual Reality apps - great for use in the classroom for teaching scholars about the trials that children their age face. Also, can be used as a Bible lesson on how we do not know others stories.

We live in a digital and mobile world where Google, the Internet and mobile technologies have disrupted traditional classroom learning and requirements for immediate recall.
There has long been a debate among educators regarding whether or not integrating technologies into the classroom will actually aid in the learning process and increase student achievement. Some educators believe it is worth the time and the effort to integrate technology into the classroom because when used correctly, they will have a positive impact on student learning as well as an increase in student achievement. I believe that using technology in the classroom will create a more positive and more exciting learning environment and students will be more enthusiastic and open to new ideas using technology. By integrating technology into classroom activities, the students will be having more fun while they are learning, they will be more engaged in the lessons and activities and they will be much more motivated to learn the material. However, on the other hand, many educators believe that implementing the use of technology in the classrooms will cause more of a disruption than to increase their achievement. These devices provide the students with so many ways of becoming distracted that they are unable to resist using them in ways that are inappropriate during class time. In conclusion, even though technology has been widely accepted in many aspects of people’s lives, there is still a debate of whether or not it should integrate it into the classroom. It is the belief of some that having technology in the classroom will cause the students to become distracted and that the pieces of technology will cause the student’s achievement to decrease. Personally, I find that technology can positively impact student achievement as long as they are used appropriately.

Felipe Sommer believes that the key to Nearpod succeeding in virtual reality, is through teachers. It is important for them to develop applications that most teachers are able to easily create lessons with. Nearpod plans on using virtual field trips as their biggest attraction.
