We all know that iMovie is extremely limited in its ability to let you choose various kinds of audio music to overlay your images and video. I was getting tired of the same old music from the iMovies collection after making countless videos using the free, included songs. Without adding illegal songs and audio from…

Below is a short collection of some very good iPad apps we have specifically curated for Science teachers and students. They can be used to consolidate and expand on what students learn about the natural world. The apps will also help students learn about endangered species, discover thousands of organisms from around the globe, explore biodiversity of wild life and many more.

"Technology integration in instruction is a process that starts with setting out clearly defined objectives and ends with assessing learning outcomes against these objectives, and all along the way several tools and strategies are employed to attend to the overall performance of this process. Hence, the first question teachers need to ponder when thinking about using technology in class is not what kind of technology to use but what do they want to achieve behind using this technology? On a deeper level, they need to find answers to questions such as: Does this technology constitute a a good addition to the learning task ? Can the same learning task be performed without using technology? These and several other questions should come to the forefront when you start planning a technology-based learning activity. "

This morning I received an email from a reader who was looking for suggestions for tools that her students can use to create comics on their iPads. I recommended some paid and free apps to her. The free tools that I recommend are featured below.

"As a teacher, you are used to create your own lessons. The xerox, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint are your trusted companions. But how can you effectively use iPads in your lessons?
The ebooks provided by publishers are mostly static and just not interesting enough for today’s students. Some educational apps are great, but finding the rights ones, figuring out how they work and getting them installed on all student devices can be a hassle.
Aren’t there easy ways to create your own materials for iPad? Yes, there are! Try these:"

"iPads have quickly become a the hottest commodity in educational technology. Apple reports that schools are purchasing iPads over MacBooks by a ratio of 2:1. However, the rush to purchase the latest technologies often precedes the careful planning and preparation that’s crucial to their success as educational tools.
There’s simply no magic pill – whether it’s the laptop, smartboard, iPad or the next device that comes along in a year or two. Technology alone won’t ever have the capacity to improve education unless it’s woven into a holistic vision that meets the very real and urgent educational objectives that prepare our students for life outside and after school. Well-planned technology deployments can however have a transformative impact on learning.
Here’s a list of ten requirements for a successful iPad implementation in schools."

We have listed out best iPad presentation apps we found on the app store. These presentation apps for iPad are ideal for presenting your ideas in a smart way right on your iPad.
"The Notes app in iOS is widely used by many users for many purposes, whether for keeping a shopping list, password locked personal notes and data, a diary, sketches and drawings, checklists, or whatever else you may want to keep handy on an iPhone or iPad. Because much of the Notes data is personal, if you accidentally delete a note or two it can be a stressful experience and you’d understandably like to recover from inadvertently removing an important note.
Not to worry though, the latest versions of the Notes app allow for an undelete process, allowing users to restore deleted notes to their iOS device, assuming they act within a reasonable time frame."
