FileMaker Pro 12 and FileMaker Pro 12 Advanced databases only work with other FileMaker 12 software. Files from previous versions of FileMaker Pro must be converted to the new file format to be shared with FileMaker Pro 12/Pro 12 Advanced. In addition, FileMaker Server 12 and FileMaker Server 12 Advanced will only host FileMaker 12 files. The FileMaker 12 product family is not backward compatible with any other version of FileMaker software.
