Why didn't anyone watch the Republican National Convention last week?
Was it apathy? Nope. It was boring. Must not-see TV.
Nielsen viewership fell 22 percent this year compared with 2008 when John McCain and Sarah Palin ran.

Television is a visual medium. We want to see movement and hear sounds, coordinated in a symphony that tells a story. The convention had almost none of that.
Think about it. The only thing that could make political speeches duller is packaging them in a miniseries. They are predictable and monotonous.
