As we lie under the stars and listen to a Puccini aria or tap our toes in a nightclub to some earthy jazz, we're probably not thinking about how the music affects our brains. We're just feeling good and enjoying the moment.

Oui, une belle brochette d'outils pour concevoir les cours, Je ne l'ai pas testé personnellement, donc si quelqu'un peut me donner un feedback sur l'utilisation en situation réelle, cela me ferait plaisir ;-)

Universal Design For Learning (UDL): A MentorMob Playlist | MyWeb4Ed | Educational Psychology, AI, & Emerging Technologies: Critical Thinking on Current Trends | Scoop.it

Universal Design For Learning (UDL) is a concept born from the work of architects to develop buildings that remove physical barriers so that they are accessible to all people. From this idea, educators began to focus on removing the barriers that work against learning. UDL improves the possibility of a positive academic outcome and deliberately focuses on meeting the individual needs of the students. In addition, resources are provided through websites that support the educator implementing UDL ideals.

This playlist provides an overview of UDL along with some interactive activities to further understanding.

Positively humming: creating a productive workplace...

Be a 'broker of learning'
Under this new structure, leaders need to move from being 'a boss' to being 'a broker of learning', McWilliam says.

“That means that the chief job of the workplace leader is to know what's going on in your organisation. Think of it as a horizontal, fluid network where the leader has the big picture and is a key node in the flow of information,” she says.

“It's about supporting and directing, rather than commanding and controlling. You've got to maintain a disposition to be constantly curious and learning.”

A workplace that sets up a culture of learning means staff are on their toes, engaged and excited by their work, and a business leader should know what their employees are interested in learning both at work and beyond, McWilliam says.

“That's when you get an environment where you get much more learning going on and much more productivity.”
