So what does it mean to move to the middle?

Skeptical, But Open - Teacher Thompson

Skeptical, But Open - Teacher Thompson | Connectivism | Scoop.it

The printing press brought about a shift from oral learning to written learning. The digital connectedness of information and people extends the written paradigm into new configurations, but it is less of a shift than the one from the oral, preliterate world. The claim in the article that “Technology is altering (rewiring) our brain” needs a evidence to make it convincing.

Half an Hour: Education as Platform: The MOOC Experience and what we can do to make it better | Connectivism | Scoop.it

What this talk is about - it's called "Education as Platform" - is the idea of exploring some of the experiences we've had with massive open online learning, and exploring some of the criticisms that we've experienced, some of the criticisms that we've seen, and trying to understand what elements of the design are working and what elements of the design are not working, and to use this understanding to try to advance our perspective on the way online learning is proceeding and should proceed.
