I wonder if the tide will be high enough to cause any damage to infrastructure in these areas and whether that infrastructure is built to withstand such an extreme weather event. Considering the amount of rain California has gotten recently, it’s interesting to see how urban design and coastal development handle these stressors; and if significant damage does occur, hopefully there will be opportunities to integrate more resilient infrastructure. Overall, this really shows the effects sea level rise is having on our environment. We can only hope there won’t be too much damage, but with flooding expected in some areas, there will likely still be notable impacts.
