GNYC's 13th Annual Campmaster Appreciation Day is scheduled for June 28th.
A special thank you to these volunteer Camp Masters serving at least one weekend during the 2013-2014 short-term season at Camp Alpine. Wali Abdun- Noir, Arthur W Brace, Rosario Cepeda, Miguel Colon,  Dick Cordes, Rafael Cruz, Jim DeBonet, Hedy DeBonet, Elizabeth Figueroa, Walter Forde, Joe Giattino, Jeff Hayes, Julio Hernandez, Alfred Hernandez, Chris Higgins, Andrew Kaplan, Kenny Koch, Peter Koch, Tom McGlinchey, Nicole Parker, Patrick Price, Shelley Rice, John Sammon, Lynn Sammon, Maria Toro, Angel Toro

Boy Scouts Match Naval Officers Move-for-Move in Fitness RegimenA contingent of 50 uniformed Boy Scouts, ages 6 to 17, will perform a complete Naval Handbook fitness regimen alongside 50 uniformed Marines and Naval officers in Bowling Green Park as part of Fleet Week celebrations.The Boys Scouts, from Packs and Troops throughout the Greater New York Councils, Boy Scouts of America, will perform push-ups, sit-ups, sprints and all variety of calisthenics in a training session customized from the Naval Handbook. The “Presidents Active Lifestyle Award Event” will feature senior members of the Naval forces. In addition to the fitness session, the Boy Scouts will experience two private Naval vessel tours during the weekend, including behind-the-scenes access for Scouts, a Flag Ceremony, and an exclusive Q&A Session with several members of the U.S. Naval Forces.Event takes place Saturday, May 24 at Bowling Green Park in Lower Manhattan.
