2014 TCS NEW YORK CITY MARATHONSUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2014Run for the Boy Scouts of America, Greater New York Councils!Through a partnership with the New York Road Runners Charity Partner Program, the Boy Scouts of America, Greater New York Councils has 10 slots in this years TCS New York City Marathon.We ask our runners to raise a fundraising minimum of $3,000 to support the programs serving the over 45,000 youth in the 5 boroughs of New York City.Just for Our RunnersMembers of Team Greater New York Councils receive paid marathon registration fees of approximately $300.Boy Scouts of America logo team t-shirt.Bus transportation to run starting site on race day.Pre-race pasta dinner on November 1st for family, friends, and your supporters.Gift bag.There is a $50 hold fee that must be paid to the Boy Scouts of America, Greater New York Councils. You then will be sent an email on how to continue to apply and pay your holdn fee. This $50 will be credited to your fundraising efforts. How your Scout Unit can get involved: - Collect American Flags in your neighborhood or borough
- Deliver them to Pouch Camp before or on June 13th
- Attend the Ceremony on June 13th

NYC Scouts to participate at Fleet Week New York
Greater New York Councils is proud to participate in Fleet Week New York delivering two exciting programs to our members! - Two exciting, private tours of the USS Campbell & USS Oak Hill on Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th. The tours will include some behind-the-scenes access for our Scouts, a Flag Ceremony, and an exclusive Q&A Session with several members of the U.S. Naval Forces.
- Presidents Active Lifestyle Award (PALA) event in partnership with the Navy, taking place on Saturday, May 24th at Bowling Green Park in Lower Manhattan. Scouts will receive a hands-on physical fitness regime led by several active duty Naval officers, with closing remarks by a senior member of the Naval Forces.
NYC Scouts and volunteers are encouraged to participate. Sign-up information please contact Justin.Rodstrom@Scouting.org.
