Max Sirena, skipper of Luna Rossa, was very satisfied with the performance of the the team's foiling AC45 catamaran and said: 'What we experienced today is a great start; with wind between 8 and 15 knots we foiled both upwind and downwind and maintained an average speed that we wouldn’t have expected on the second day of sailing.

Fast, foiling, wing-sailed catamarans will race in the next America’s Cup as the new class rule for the AC62 yacht has been released.
