The Schick Lecture Series on Language, Literature and Lexicography at Indiana State University will host retired University of Virginia professor J. Paul Hunter on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 3:30pm.
Hunter will discuss, "Melodies Unheard: How to Read Poetry on the Page." The lecture will take place in Root Hall A-264 with a reception following in A-269-270.
Hunter is a renowned expert on the history of the novel, bibliography and textual studies, the eighteenth century and the forms of poetry. He earned his Ph.D. at Rice University and has taught at the University of California Riverside, Emory, the University of Rochester and the University of Chicago.
