Almost a year after an unknown number of fish died at the well-known Bedford Boys Ranch Lake, city and state officials along with volunteers are joining forces to restore the delicate ecosystem. According to a news release, the City of Bedford formed a partnership with the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife and “dedicated volunteers” to plant 370 native aquatic plants throughout the lake, including pickerelweed, water willow, and eelgrass.

Texas law requires data centers to report water usage. Most aren't complying.
Data center operators largely ignored requests by state agencies to report their water use, angering lawmakers who said they need the information to craft policies to protect the state's water supply. Only 17% of the 341 data centers operating in Texas responded to a survey from the Texas Water Development Board last year, the agency's water supply planning director told lawmakers at a committee hearing on Tuesday.
