Fuji recently announced the all black X100s and I felt this was my cue to buy myself one, for no other reason than I like black. As a Fuji Pro user for well over a year now (XPro/XE1) it made total sense to have this little camera in my arsenal for general purpose and street photography. My…

THE SCENIC ROUTE | A REVIEW OF THE FUJIFILM X-T1 - Patrick LaRoque

THE SCENIC ROUTE | A REVIEW OF THE FUJIFILM X-T1 - Patrick LaRoque | Mirrorless Cameras | Scoop.it

I can be a mighty stubborn guy. You see, I have this very clear conception of the X Series cameras, one that’s severely tainted by my initial experiences with the original X100 and the reasons why I first became interested. Sometimes when I’m in a rut or feel myself wavering creatively, I’ll go back and watch the insane japanese commercial I've embedded next to this paragraph.

Mirrorless & the Big Print - Mirrorless Photo Tips

Mirrorless & the Big Print - Mirrorless Photo Tips | Mirrorless Cameras | Scoop.it

It amazes me that whenever anybody sees me shooting with a mirrorless camera they usually go on to tell me how they need a full size sensor and lots of megapixels to get a really sharp image. “You must make big prints?” I ask. Usually the answer is that they don’t make any prints from their files. The reality is that sensors of Micro Four-thirds cameras, for example, are one-quarter the size of a full frame (24x36mm) sensor and yet I can still easily make up to 20×30 inch prints.
