iOS: Photovine is a free app that lets you pick a topic (called a "vine") that interests you", and add a relevant photo.
It provides a new and interesting way to publicly share your photos with others in the large community that is the internet.
Photovine comes from Google, but you'd never know it by using it. It doesn't even use Google accounts for authentication, is currently only available for iOS, and has no Google branding anywhere. It works with pretty much any iDevice that has a camera and is both cost- and ad-free. Via Robin Good
We all know how it works in the animal kingdom: when you watch two leopard cubs play, for example, you expect that it’s not simply about fun and pleasure. It’s about honing skills; it’s about figuring out hierarchy. "And yet, with humans, we often forget that play is serious. We dismiss play and games as “sheer entertainment,” distinct from life-lessons and skill-building." [Good point. The rest is fairly familiar and mentions the usual suspects, I guess.] Via FibberNacho

Download the info graphic here: http://www.skillsoft.com/infographic/social_learning_infographic.pdf Tweet By John Ambrose Social learning - other than the global financial scene, no topic creates more lines of news these days. It is also the single most asked question I get when discussing the future of learning. The next most frequent question is: “Where do I start?”The list of social tools available is long, growing and downright confusing. Many have comprehensive feature sets and may overlap with other technologies your company is already using. The vast majority are empty technology drums that require you to pour in the community and the content. Your IT organization is likely already evaluating an enterprise-wide social application. But that doesn’t mean it will do all you need from a learning perspective. Via Alastair Creelman
