Using Oculus Rift in Cloud Party is quite simple. Currently no browser natively supports the Oculus Rift, but luckily there are two options to solve this and Cloud Party will work with either. The first is OculusBridge, a separate standalone program that you run that bridges the Oculus Rift and the browser via websockets. The second is vr.js, a browser plugin that communicates directly with the Rift. We currently recommend using OculusBridge because Chrome has announced that they will be no longer be supporting plugins as of 2014. Via elearning hoje

QR Codes in the Classroom
"For the classroom teacher, they are valuable for three reasons: They can save us time.They can save paper.They provide a link to mobile devices that help students do their homework and follow along.
"Back in March, we discussed QR codes in our Lesson in Simple Augmented Reality. We used them extensively in our eighth grade portfolios this year and it has cut assessment time in half. Many of you have asked that this post be written to help you on your journey.

Du fait d'une température de fusion bien supérieure au plastique (de 600°C pour l'aluminium jusqu'à 1000°C pour l'or), la possibilité d'offrir aux particuliers une imprimante 3D à base de métal restait en suspens. La société Vader Systems, créée par le père Scott et le fils Zach Vader, pourrait bien mettre un terme aux doutes qu’ils subsistaient.
Pour le moment, Vader Systems finalise une version de la Mark 1 qui pourra imprimer à partir d’aluminium mais Zachary Vader estime que le cuivre, l’argent ou l’or seront les prochains matériaux à suivre.

We are on a brink of another evolution in technology - wearable comfortable quantifiable consumer products, I can already forsee the day when we get to a point of ingestible or absorbable technology, there are great examples of that already, but we are one decade away from that.

Si la société canadienne Rinnovated Design mérite le buzz, c’est parce que son produit est proposé à un prix extrêmement bas : l’équivalent de 70 €. Si l’appareil est low cost, c’est certainement parce qu’il utilise un procédé différent des autres imprimantes 3D, pour l’ « impression ». Le Peachy Printer utilise également une nouvelle manière de transmettre les données. This Idome really reminds me of IMAX 3D theaters, but brings it to a whole different level. The Idome involves human interaction and makes it seem as if you're actually there. If EonVision can really pull this off, it would be revolutionary to technology and how we view moving pictures. It would be a great addition in entertainment to add to malls and public areas and would boost spending in the U.S. economy. My only concern is how successful it would be and the expense of the 4D theater. |
