We have to take smart decisions on a permanent basis, and quality decision-making can be downright hard. Especially if it relates to an important thing, that we’ve been preoccupied with for quite some time.
A thing that’s always on our back-burner, or on our radar, depending on who prefers what. The very fact of being preoccupied might blur our thinking, and we lack clarity in evaluating options.
Everything looks messed up, and with all the input coming from various sources (the most common two of them being other stakeholders and clients) the ultimate decision-maker might feel disoriented.
How to make sense of it all?

These are the top 5 ways to start thinking of an actionable strategic plan for your business.
Is transformational leadership simply “expert” leadership in action or is it different in some way? Do transformational leadership traits add significant value? What are Mindsets? How would you answer this question? “Is a person’s intelligence fixed and unchangeable?” It turns out that the way you answer this and related questions influences how successful you will be. This the idea that Carol Dweck outlines in her terrific book Mindset. In a very good review of the book, Alex Vermeer provides this summary: Your mindset is the view you have of your qualities and characteristics – where they come from and whether they can change.
This graphic by Nigel Holmes summarises the kinds of outcomes that result from the different mindsets.

Every businessperson knows a story about a highly intelligent, highly skilled executive who was promoted into a leadership position only to fail at the job. And they also know a story about someone with solid—but not extraordinary—intellectual abilities and technical skills who was promoted into a similar position and then soared.

Over the last year or so, a fascinating bow wave of interest has been converging on a growing cadre of companies who appear to be doing something quite novel and seemingly new. Specifically, these organizations have apparently thrown off many of the traditional structures and processes of corporate management. Interestingly, all of these organizations are focusing on change through people first, technology second, if at all.

Varying a particular coaching style according to individual coachee needs is likely to be a very helpful approach for any coach to adopt. The situational coaching model described above provides four styles which can be used in different circumstances. However, care needs to be taken not only to match the most appropriate style in each situation but to ensure that it is not used to excess.
