We would like to inform you that, as of January 2025, the management and ownership of the scientific journal NEW MEDIT, dedicated to economic, agricultural, and environmental issues in the Mediterranean, have been transferred to the General Secretariat of the Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) in Paris. 

The lim­ited sup­ply of extra vir­gin olive oil in Europe has cre­ated the con­di­tions for an upward trend in pro­ducer prices in Greece.
However, the Greek mar­ket is mov­ing at a slug­gish pace due to traders’ reluc­tance to buy based on their medium-term needs. So far, olive oil prices remain unchanged since last December.

This Food Systems Summit Dialogue will be the first of two, aiming at advancing a common understanding of the complex environment of Sustainable Food Systems (SFS) in the Mediterranean region. This will foster an inclusive discussion on future pathways for sustainable food systems in the Mediterranean, and commitments towards supporting their transformation, ultimately advancing progress on the 2030 Agenda in the region.
