Having enjoyed its status as the largest social media platform since 2012, Facebook is the everlasting trendy topic. The question on many of our minds is what’s next. As we kick off the 2015 with the beloved mantra of “out with the old and in with the new” in mind, brands and businesses alike are digging deeper to find the latest and greatest tech and innovation. Facebook is no exception. Here are three things that you can expect to see within the year.
Drones And Internet Expansion
Facebook leads the Internet.org initiative that launched in 2013 with plans to connect the entire world to the Internet. The initiative focuses heavily on improving Internet access to underserved countries through wireless signal drones. Facebook’s acquisition of UK solar-powered drone maker Ascenta may have seemed strange to some initially, but as Facebook’s purposes have been unveiling, they are taking the world by storm. It has been reported that the group hopes to get the Internet connectivity drones in the air by 2015.

More than anything else, a company’s website is the public face of their business to the world. Consumers are doing more research than ever before when looking to buy a product or service; and when doing that research, if a business does not have a website they will typically loose any potential business from the customer because consumers are finding businesses without websites unprofessional. Just as important as customers being able to find your website is for them to be able to easily navigate it and understand your value proposition quickly.

Social media has trended towards visual content. In the past two years, Facebook launched Timelines, Pinterest became the third most popular social network, and Google+ relaunched with a visual-centric interface. Visual content allows you to craft a distinct brand identity, garner new interest, and connect on an emotional level with customers and fans. In short, a picture is worth way more than a thousand words.
This certainly makes a lot of sense and while most of us like using visual elements, if you like me, we have been a bit slow it making use of this valuable component. Instagram is one area that has shown itself to be a viable marketing tool. Its pleasing to use because there is so much material around in the form of motivational quotes etc and you can put your own creative touches to images to help with your own branding.

The most popular word of 2014 wasn’t actually a word, according to a new survey of global English usage, it was an emoji: the ♥ emoji in fact. "The Heart and Love emoji, emoticon, and variations thereof appear billions of times a day around the world — across languages and cultures," claims Global Language Monitor (GLM) in their 2014 report on English-language word usage, adding that it is "the first time an ideograph has captured [the] Word of the Year honors."

I just spent a few minutes messing around with our Twitter analytics, and it turns out that we tweeted nearly 11,000 times from @WIRED in 2014. That’s 1.25 tweets per hour on average—a nice, useful, not completely overwhelming amount of info and links to put out into the world, if I do say so myself. And I’m proud to be able to tell you that the only time our tweets included bae was in reference to the global aerospace company BAE Systems. @WIRED: Not a #basic #brand account.
Here are the ten tweets that worked out best for us in 2014. We put the round-up together using a variety of metrics and criteria. Number of clicks weighed heavily in our (relatively informal) formula. Number of retweets a little less. Favs and responses a little less yet. Not surprisingly, the list reads like a catalog of some of the biggest WIRED topics and stories of the year. Take a look.

The Twitter bio is one of the most overlooked features on Twitter (with lists). Many people think that no one looks at it anymore. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Every time I check a Twitter profile, the first thing I focus on is the bio. If I find it relevant to me, I will have then read some tweets, and peruse lists.
Making a Twitter bio shine is not difficult. Aaron Lee has some great tips for us. My favorite is #4: including the username of your employer.

In this short video I show you the only way to import your LinkedIn connections into Google+ in bulk. If you’re familiar with my previous post on importing Facebook to Google+, the process here is similar.
Unlike other methods for importing your LinkedIn contacts which require you to add each contact individually, I use Circloscope which enables you to add all of your connections to a Google+ circle in seconds. It’s a massive time saver.
Check out the short video and/or read through the tutorial below. If you have any questions, just let me know in the comments!

Come piattaforma sociale, LinkedIn prende grumi.
If your customers are not on FaceBook, Twitter or Google+... they are probably on LinkedIn if they are online at all.

A study and accompanying infographic (pictured below) by Circle Research and The Marketing Society found that nearly 80% of surveyed B2B marketers believe that social media is an effective channel for their marketing efforts.
Worryingly, only 16 per cent of B2B marketers are confident in their ROI measurement, while 70 per cent say they need help with their digital skills.
SOCIAL NETWORKING 4:
This is an important consideration, that the utilisation of social networks applies to both marketing to consumers and to other businesses. Websites such as linkedin are effective for this kind of social networking. This article also touches on how smartphones are being considered as a huge area of opportunity for marketing, however many organisations aren't utilising it, often because they don't have a thorough understanding of this medium and how to use it to its full potential. Should marketers be able to effectively tap into this medium, their reach would increase significantly.

Voi sapete che attenersi a un programma è importante per il vostro business. Ti aiuta a fare le cose, e mantiene tutto senza intoppi. Lo stesso vale
I suspect this 1.72hours per day is grossly underestimated.
Is this a good thing? If an individual has the proper balance to do
work, and not be distracted, its ok, but many social media platforms are addictive. When I learned about Instagram I was checking and reviewing every few minutes throughout the day. I am glad that phase has passed, productive networking is key, but make sure you have some fun throughout the day.
Good! you are doing right.
