Rachel shared this over at Marathoners. Nicely done by Shay Carl. I especially liked sound at the ending at the top of the overlook. A way of "Counting Coup." Or a different take on the allegory of Sysiphus, where the rock stays at the top and Sysiphus rolls back down to get another rock. Peter: ...and upon this rock I will build....my practice. When running becomes part of one's practice. Doing the same thing on a regular basis allows me to see how the one common thread throughout this practice is doing and being and experiencing. Me doing the practice being that thread. The path is the same. The environment changes daily or even hourly. |

http://video.pbs.org/video/2364989581 I started teaching ball/heel/ball running back in the late 70's after using one of the first slow motion video recorders made by Sanyo. If you march in place you'll see that the ball then the heel touches. Didn't think that I'd see it accepted in my lifetime. Thanks to Born to Run, Barefoot Bob Saxton, Chirunning, Pose Method, running mindfully or Mindful Running continues to grow in acceptance. It isn't the stupid shoe as one of my early mentors shared with me. |
