In school construction, Student Learning Centers are a hot topic. What is a Student Learning Center? How is it beneficial for your students? This site can help school leaders create student learning centers that will be useful in planning and construction.

Teachers connect with students everyday. We can choose the quality of those connections and look for those incidental teaching " moments" to build positive relationships with students.

Docs Teach sponsored by National Archives remains my favorite, but the LIFE photos are fantastic and searchable by decade. All provide valuable links to support Common Core standards.

Education in every aspect is now offering technological or digital resources. We have seen the growth of resources since the pandemic. In order for children to get the maximum experience teachers and librarians must work together and create successful collaborative relationships. I was one of those students who was able to use an encyclopedia back in the day. Sometimes I have mixed thoughts on if I should actually have the physical books in my possession for the “What-ifs”. I am aware that you can do the same with digital books as you can with physical copies, but for some reason I like physical books better.

I think the way we physically 'do education' will shift once libraries like these catch on and in turn so wil lthe old pedagogical views that are being held on to (I hope)!

My favourite quote - it sums up 21st Century Learning - and what it should be all about.

There is so much to consider, not just your physical space (which is woefully lacking) but also the virtual space...so much too do, so little time!

Many Libraries already have these things...which suggests we need to do a better marketing job.
